"SoftLayer is a great company to work for. IBM now owns it so it will become their Cloud Computing Division."
"I have only been with IBM for 8 months. I am not impressed with what they do, the tools they supply, and the training they provide. They are very behind when it comes to emerging technology."
"Good company. Great benefits. I am not exceptionally pleased with its performance evaluation system but then again it could be worse."
"IBM sees you more like a number than a person. Not the kind of environment I like."
"I have worked for IBM India for more than 2 years in the role of Unix Admin for Walt Disney as client."
"I have worked with IBM for 5 years now. They have given me a great start to my career and valuable experience that I will take with me for the rest of my life. I have been part of various projects and I currently have leadership roles within IBM. I have tremendous respect for the company and the management team there. Great company to work for but I do want to move back to New York."
"Great company to work for remote."
"Great workplace. I loved working with the System Engineers."
"Good job was there in At&t building"
"Good work environment. Everyone in my team is very cooperative; when we are assigned tasks, everyone gets involved to resolve any issues. I met very good team members here."
"Friendly team and company."
"IBM is a very large company that functions exactly how you'd imagine all giant companies function. Too many leaders, not enough followers."
"I found the internal training to be the best around. Career development is entirely u to the individual, with some push from management. Many opportunities exist withing the company, but if your project is deprecated and you haven't already been placed to a new team, you will be gone."
"Great location in Dallas. Great friendly team."
"IBM retaliated against me for taking FMLA leave, beware!! The moment I returned from FMLA leave due to a disability, I was retaliated against by a VP. I contacted HR on two different occasions, and they did nothing. I ended up having to contact the EEOC and they have given me permission to sue IBM due to them retaliating against me for taking FMLA leave. If you have a disability, don’t expect this company to honor protected FMLA leave even though it’s against the law if they treat you the same way they did me."
