"I began working with Countrywide in 1996 and was there for the merge with Bank of America. I was laid off in 2012. But I was eligible to retire. I came back in 2017 as a contractor. During my time there I have had several roles. Bankruptcy Specialist, Auditor, HELOC statements, Recast, Master File Corrections, processing, and training. I worked very closely with management to meet goals and deadlines. This position taught me to stay organized, time manage, work as team player, always provide feed back to job flow improvements. During my time there, I received recognition for ideas that help improve job flow."
"Great company with good leadership, work life balance culture and motivation."
"Overall at bank of America I grew a lot. Came into the banking industry with no knowledge and came out with tons of it and met new people."
"I've yet to work for another company that offered the benefits BofA had for their employees. Advancements are dependent on one's self. They have universities to help understand other lines of businesses and reviews with your manager to set goals. As with most companies, it's either or... Great benefits or great pay."
"Good benefits. Thankful for the opportunity."
"Bank of America's Mortgage Division is so poorly run, it baffles me as to how the upper management and executives keep their jobs. While the associates that do all of the actual work get bonuses and merit increases cut, the management teams continued to see increases in their packages. One of the biggest issues with the Mortgage line of business is that the majority of the management team is entirely unqualified to do the job they were hired for and were placed there purely on the "who you know' system. This has corroded the management team to such a point that the decisions made regarding personnel and policy are almost laughable. As glaringly apparent as this need is, and as many times as it has been brought up, the usual nothing continues to be done. This makes for a very frustrating experience as a lead associate. While the Bank does offer competitive pay for most positions, I wouldn't touch its employment section or any of its products if I had any other choice. I have heard that other lines of business do not have this issue, but I cannot speak to the grass on the other side of the fence."
"I worked for Bank of America from 2009 through 2014. I found it to be a wonderful experience. It was my first experience working for Fortune 500 company and a tremendous professional experience. Both management and co-workers were an absolute pleasure to work with."
"I've worked with Bank of America for the last four years and was extremely pleased with the company in terms of mentoring, process and support tools and the opportunity to work for the company and learn how to manage projects and all that is entailed within the process. I was fortunate to work with many talented people who helped me tremendously."
"I've worked for BofA for almost four years in Home Loans. Working in such a big company is a great experience. The employees become specialists and with the time this can become frustrating. My advice is to keep learning by yourselves so you can move to another position inside or outside the Bank."
"I was with Bank of America Default Service Operations for over 7 years. I enjoyed the various groups and peers and continually learned from them and they - as frequently, from me."
"Great company to work for."
"Too much uncertainty currently."
"I worked for Countrywide Home Loans/Bank of America for 18 years. Started at entry level customer service telephone representative and moved my way up to VP Business Control Manager. The work life balance, ethics and opportunities were great at the bank. Highly recommend applying and working for Bank of America."
"Bank of America is a great company to work for, solid benefits and good compensation. The frustration comes into play with the amount of growth possibilities or the lack thereof. I recommend this company if you are intermediate in your mortgage lending/servicing experience, however it is difficult to get above mid management even if you are an expert at what you do."
"Great company to work for. I was working with one of the biggest databases in the United States."
