"I have worked for Bank of America for 26 years. In that time I have always found it possible to move ahead and find great opportunities inside the company moving from retail to marketing to inside and outside sales to startups! It was unfortunate that the company made a surprise decision to close the entire $1 billion business. All that said it was an amazing place to work and grow and I love the associates and customers."

"It was a great environment to work and provided plenty of advancement opportunities."

What don't you like about working at Bank of America?

"In its last couple years before its near collapse then sale to BofA, the culture changed and it made things difficult for recruiting sales staff."

"If you live in Charlotte, NC you will do better as far as growth. If you are a remote associate there is no job security."

"Great people."

"This is a good place to work if you are located in Charlotte. Just be yourself and do your research. You also try to connect with someone from the area you have applied to via Linked In."

What don't you like about working at Bank of America?

"Their process for laying off associates."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Better communication and every associate should receive a 60 day notice if they are to be laid off."

"Out of college I got to work directly with executive management (2 levels from the CEO)."

"Be really keen about relocating to Charlotte, NC."

What don't you like about working at Bank of America?

"Old Bank of America (pre merger with Nationsbank) was ok to work for. The executives knew what they were doing. But Nationsbank had leaders who possessed little experience in actual banking and their business model was 10 years of out-of-date. But I guess if you have a couple of public employee pension funds buying up your float you can rule the world."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"If any of their executives came from Nationsbank, they should be shown the door."

"The people I worked with in Seattle were great."

"The new owners in North Carolina don't understand."
