"I love me job at USAA. The only reason I am looking to change is because of the compensation. It could be a little better and more competitive."
"My ability to move ahead in USAA is almost nil because I am a contractor and as soon as my project will end my employment can be terminated."
"Super awesome company with many perks to the job. Great work environment, plenty of time off, multiple gyms, decent food courts, and good people.Cons: A very traditional and conservative company. They preach innovation but often that turns into red tape and politics. The militaristic culture may not be for everyone."
"I have worked for TCS from 2011. It's one of the great companies to work with."
"I have been working as Software Developer and Integrator where I used to integrate my work with the person working as near shore person."
"USAA is a typical corporation--large, full of bureaucracy, and inefficient. This has its pros and cons, but for me, they mostly come out to be cons. If you're looking for a stable income in a low cost of living area, USAA is great; people do seem to care about you, but ultimately the mission feels like a sham to cover up the large salaries the executives and management make at the expense of the lowerlings. They don't have any competition really and don't cater at all to high performers."
"Extreme pressure to sell other lines of business whether they fit the member or not. Insurance is enjoyable. The actual environment goes against the public persona of USAA. 100% is expected every second of a call no matter the tone of the conversation. If you have a bad day, call, moment, referral - you are reprimanded. It is a non- commissioned position however, statistics and metrics are measured and do impact bonuses. Who your actual manager is makes all the difference."
"USAA is a leader in the financial services marketplace. The overall corporate culture is excellent and they truly value their members. It's been a pleasure to work there in so many ways. While USAA is excellent overall, as a large organization they are subject to many challenges that can create frustration for their employees and members. If I had one piece of advice to top level management, it would be to allow more authority for decision making at the front-line employee and manager levels."
"I've worked at USAA for just 2 months, but I have found it to be an excellent place to work."
"Overall I was not empowered to make any improvements at all."
"USAA is an amazing company to work for. They really take care of their employees by providing a challenging work environment and a strong community with many organized activities and events outside work hours. They pride themselves in being an eco-friendly company which is inspiring. They employ 25,000 people at their home office in San Antonio,TX."
"I was a great place to work, management in Phoenix were always approachable. The team I was on were completely in sync everyone worked together to achieve our goals."
"The company has excellent intentions, nevertheless leadership is held back by an overly conservative corporate view. Innovation without execution is hallucination."
