"Super awesome company with many perks to the job. Great work environment, plenty of time off, multiple gyms, decent food courts, and good people.Cons: A very traditional and conservative company. They preach innovation but often that turns into red tape and politics. The militaristic culture may not be for everyone."

"I worked for USAA for about 3 months doing control testing. During my time I was able to get the experience of working for a large company with a fast-paced work environment. This allowed me to show my best abilities in my work performance."

"Very good company to work with. The good side is the work culture. Flipside for Plano teams with their major presence in San Antonio is connecting with people in San Antonio due to the nature of compliance and other requirements. Technology is not old but needs improvement in a Process framework."

"I have worked at USAA for about 3+ years now and the environment and people are great. Due to the size of the organization and the main focus not being mobile it is hard to grow in such an organization. Most resources and efforts are focused around back-end development and bringing old technologies up to speed with primary drivers of the organization being its dominant revenue segments of which technology is not one. Overall, great organization and a focused company set to help its target audience."

"I interviewed for a full stack developer role centered around .NET and found the company to be 90% Java. My group was the only .NET group in the whole company, but the work was simply maintaining existing scripts inside a custom application, so there is no real development occurring. They also announced they would be exporting 70% of the .NET jobs to South America some time in 2021."

The customer service and problem-solving skills I have learned have not only helped me reach my work goals but also helped achieve personal and educational goals as well. I can honestly say I would be a completely different person if I never got the opportunity to work for this amazing company."
