"I love solving technical issues, NetApp infrastructures provided a varied and unique environment to meet challenges head on. NetApp strives to provide quality service and has employed a certain "get it working" approach to ensure that their clients were not impacted by outages. NetApp provided training material and opportunities for learning, even to those that were employed indirectly through a company like Convergys."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Create opportunity for one in the company to expand either their knowledge to multiple areas or allow for a in depth knowledge gain in one particular area of employee interest."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"DON'T DO IT! This is a job that will make you hate life. Go somewhere else if you can!"

What don't you like about working at AT&T?

"Actions speak louder than words, and although AT&T claims to care about the customer, they really don't. This is made clear by the fact that they don't provide working tools, open call flow, or more human-friendly scripts to abide by on the phone. Quality is a joke, measurements are constantly changing, and figuring out what you've done wrong this time is always a guessing game."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop making the people taking the calls sound like robots following a script. I would also provide working and functional tools to the employees so that they may actually help the customer (like the company SAYS that it does, but actually doesn't)."

Technical Support Engineer at DealerTrack
in Salt Lake City, UT

What do you like about working at DealerTrack?

"I like solving problems and talking to other people about technology. People who work in the car industry are actually very easy to joke around with."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Like all companies, technical support is not considered a Carrier at Dealertrack. Those who have moved on to other areas in Dealertrack from IT have stated they have better job satisfaction."

What don't you like about working at DealerTrack?

"Management doesn't have a general clue about what is going on. Seems the company cares more about numbers than actual customer service. Too many processes that get in the way of doing your job. The best management at the company know the best way to serve you, and the client, is to get out of the way and let you do your job. Employee retention is ok, but everyone is secretly looking for bigger and better things. Oh, dealing with upset clients is not too much fun either. Most people or ok, but in general people who work at a car dealership have a very stressful job. When problems happen they are not too polite."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The tools that we have to help the client's are sub par at best. Training for the software for employees has been upgraded significantly, but there is a huge lack of communication between the cogs and the minds that steer the company in the direction its going. General employees, who actually interact with the client's, have no idea about new technologies or strategies being employed a month or more looking forward."
