"I have been at Lockheed Martin over 20 yrs. and had a great experience moving through several super jobs with freedom to grow the business and become a subject matter expert in several cutting edge technologies. I became good friends with the customers in my positions. My senior VP managers were great to report to because they gave me the freedom to grow and become successful along with the business sectors I managed."

"Extremely unfair treatment."

What do you like about working at Lockheed Martin?

"Working on projects that required TS/SCI clearances."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Personally know somebody that works there or that you can work for so they can pull strings for you. Doesn't matter what you know, it's more important who you know at this company."

What don't you like about working at Lockheed Martin?

"I used to work as a full time employee for Lockheed Martin with a TS/SCI clearances in Pa. I was terminated / railroaded out the door for being on the Internet. In my work environment I had a Classified and an Unclassified system. When I would arrive in the morning I would always log into the Unclassified system first to check email, and the weather. I would leave the Unclassified system logged in and then log onto the Classified system to start my daily activities. I was busy the rest of the day performing my job on the Classified system. They used the fact that I stayed logged into the Unclassified system as the excuse to terminate me. When I asked to see the records I was refused and shown out the door. There is a tremendous amount of Non Ethical behaviour going on at Lockheed. There were many employees who did absolutely nothing every day except collect their paycheck. Sometimes they wouldn't even come into work. These groups of employees would cover each other from being caught all the way up to he department heads and managers. I even know one employee who even to this day spends most of his day at the bar drinking while getting paid. I knew another group that would spend most of their time at the King of Prussia mall across the street from the main building 100. There were also many minority employees who would use prejudice as a scare tactic and get away with totally unethical behaviour. I have many more instances to report, but won't do that here and now for the sake of time and making this post too long. Lockheed Martin is one screwed up company. If they keep going this way I doubt they will survive. Our country's security depends on some of LM's contracts. We're in big trouble because we are depending on a company so corrupt.Terminated under false pretenses and allegations. I have suffered several heart attacks, severe gout and pneumonia, for which I was hospitalized. This has caused a tremendous amount of stress in my life. Everything from home foreclosure to declining health. My life has been ruined because of them. There is more."

Account Manager

"LM, the Lazy L Ranch."

What do you like about working at Lockheed Martin?

"Not a whole lot, an average company at best, when compared to other corporate giants."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Whatever is called out in the requisition, just tell them what they want to hear, for lower to mid level jobs. Management level jobs are a bit more difficult, predominantly determined by the numbers of work experience and not necessarily actual practiced/real world knowledge, if hired be prepared for meetings galore and no work-life balance."

What don't you like about working at Lockheed Martin?

"The archaic HR system which hinders/pigeon-holes employees. Raises are a joke, unless you're involved in LDP or have a masters (doesn't matter, it could be Phoenix or Yale), even then it's all about years and the masters is just a check in the box. They could care less about outside skill sets that may be able to help the company in other aspects/areas, although they promote one company, one vision."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Cross training, upward mobility, empower/trust your employees and don't bring in TDY's from other sites when the times get tough. Pay your rising stars and don't let them go, only to have them replaced by two or three new employees, who don't know what they are really doing and never have a chance to catch up. Instead give the star the money and start a mentor-ship by assigning them mentees, again cross training is the bane of LM."

Lockheed Martin Employee

"Disappointed."

What do you like about working at Lockheed Martin?

"Can't really think of anything that stands out. They are just another place to work until something better comes along."

What don't you like about working at Lockheed Martin?

"It was easier to find a job outside of LM than it was to find a job inside LM. Upper management tends to loose touch with those working under them. Does not listen well to suggestions."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Open your eyes and your ears and listen to those working under you. They typically have a better idea of what is going on."
