"After 6 months in the company, pros are: Co-workers are nice and easy to deal with. Good environment to work. Build facilities are very good. Cons: Overall, Ericsson experienced Engineers / Architects tend to over engineer solutions, designing complex architectures for on average small solutions. Before I started I'd been told that the company works on a flextime schedule, but when I started my manager told me that in his department this rule didn't apply."

"The benefits are outstanding. The company truly cares about its work force. From paid medical benefits, to school reimbursement amount per year, to training and days off. If it was not because my team was transferred back to Sprint, and we had no choice but to move, I would be working still with Ericsson. Best Company I have worked for!!"

"Research the company, research the position that you are applying for and if you get in, give 110% because the company will take care of you and your family."

What don't you like about working at Ericsson?

"Would have liked the option of staying when several groups were rebadged back to Sprint. Nobody was given an option."

"Keep up the great work, and if at all possible give your good performers the option to stay or move within the company."

"Difference between an employee and a contractor is not the same in any company but I found it more."

"It is difficult to treat consultants equal to a full time employee but consultants need to be given the same priorities as required."

"I cannot recommend this company because of the discrimination towards employees."

What don't you like about working at Ericsson?

"Discrimination towards employees (age discrimination is dominant), management is incompetent and brutal - yearly 10% 'refresh' lay-offs and management is using it to getting rid of older employees or who they don't like. HR is supporting management, they are not doing what they should do. Employees are forced to work overtime, which is not compensated. Per diem for travelling is minimal (50$) and after 30 days cut 30% - training is non existent. Ericsson implemented certification process so many employees are now called senior CPM, SA and SI while majority of them never saw customers nor traveled to perform any work on the site."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop discrimination and bias towards employees. Get rid off middle level management (too many chiefs and not enough Indians)."

What do you like about working at Ericsson?

"Technology is the best part of the technology in this juncture."

"Improve technical skills, which will help in the long run."

"Too much organ level compromises tech people. Don't do it."

"Give preference to technical level to leverage and manage approach."
