What do you like about working at Ericsson?
"The environment was a 120 person site where we were on our own. The closest other site was 300 miles away and if we needed something done, it was up to us to get it done, often without direction."

"Be prepared to ride out the current storm. There will be some more changes coming. The industry is at a spot where there will be consolidation and you may have to switch companies. But the work is exciting and ground breaking."

"I used to work as a contract consultant for Ericsson Sweden. And I like the company way of work. The openness and flexible environment makes the employees feel good. They emphasize an Agile way of work and boost team building. For permanent employees they provide a lot of benefits."

"Try to get a permanent job instead of a contract job. When there are cost cuttings and budget crunch situations, the contract employees are the first to have an impact."

"As a contract consultant I did not have all the privileges or access to training material that the permanent employees had. As the company has many contract employees they should try to improve the facilities for the contract employees as well."

"Please improve the work situations for contract employees as well. And if possible convert the contract employees into permanent employees for good."

"Just be yourself, let them know what they are getting and what is important to you. You might be surprised at how far that goes, it is a good company. Just remember, they take swift, decisive, and unannounced action, so be ready for anything. You will be fairly compensated and fairly treated, but they expect something more for their money."

"I was pretty happy, other than coming to work wondering if I still had a job every day. There was that hanging over your head."
