"Cheap, cheap, cheap. Everything is being done as cheaply as possible."
What do you like about working at United Airlines?
"At the moment, nothing. I find myself dreading going to work every day."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Interview somewhere else. You would most likely be happier with a Jet Blue, Southwest, Virgin America, or even Delta."
What don't you like about working at United Airlines?
"The Continental Airlines culture is gone. While there are many good people that work for Legacy United, a large majority of them are very bitter about past management, and it has carried over into some attitudes. It will be a long time, if ever, before that changes. There also seems to be a serious disorganization in policy and procedures."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Communicate with us. We are adults. Don't just give us lip service. Take ques from Gordon Bethune. He was a man that got things done, and kept his promises. HE was respected by the entire Continental workforce. Morale is at an all time low."

What do you like about working at Bed Bath & Beyond?
"It's hard to get fired. But I don't know if that's necessarily a good thing. I can't even say the discount is worth it cause we get the same as any customer."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Don't. Save yourself the mental anguish and stress. If you're terribly in need of a job and there's nowhere else to go, go for it. Otherwise, take the time to find something worthwhile."
What don't you like about working at Bed Bath & Beyond?
"Where do I begin? BBB will inform employees when they spend millions of dollars to acquire World Market (almost gloating about it), and they'll let you know how your added responsibilities saved the company millions, but mum's the word when you try to discuss compensation for additional duties. They couldn't even come up with a lie. The systems we work with are antiquated, constantly freezing when tasked with all of what we do on a daily basis. This causes frustration not only with employees, but also customers that have to wait while the computer catches up. Morale is terribly low but as long as there's a butt in the seat to answer BBB's beloved customers, BBB is happy. Instead of offering Free Shipping like our competitors do, they'd rather have us accommodate whenever a customer compares and complains. Why not just make shipping free to avoid the complaints/accommodations in the first place? Marketing is slimy in that they use colorful language to create loopholes and whatnot. NOTHING is straightforward with this company. The review sheet that determines whether we get a raise or not is unclear, when I brought my concern to HR a number of months ago, she took notes and I haven't heard from her since. I was mismanaged for a number of months, no manager feedback/coaching, and when this was brought to the attention of those that matter, I was essentially told what's done is done.They provide you with a handbook, but not everything applies, depending on where you work, and there are a number of unwritten policies that seem to change day to day, depending on who you ask. They discourage us from even approaching a Union Representative in the handbook. I wonder why that is... Forget about spending the holidays with your family--being there for BBB customers is more important. Compliments really don't matter, it's the complaints that count. Regardless of how rude or nasty or unreasonable a customer is to you, if they complain, expect to be reprimanded. You could have 75 compliments for outstanding service, but rest assured your raise will suffer from one complaint. It feels like we're expected to be robots here."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Develop some semblance of respect for your employees. Understand that we are HUMAN 1st, and that we have lives and trouble just like customers do. Corporate sits on the hill making big bucks, spending weekends and holidays enjoying life with their family, recognize that your subordinates aren't lucky enough to have such luxuries."
What do you like about working at Santa Monica College?
"I liked the flexible scheduling around my classes, and I liked working with friendly people, also I had the opportunity to talk to customers."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Follow up: show them that you would really like the job. Keep asking for the hiring manager, then when you get the interview, just be honest."
What don't you like about working at Santa Monica College?
"I did not like the fact that there numerous bosses that oversaw us. I also did not like the fact that there was no real way to grow out of your position."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"My suggestion for management would be to allow a path of growth to get from a student employee to a temp position"

"There is very little chance for moving up in the company, understandable however."

"If you're looking for a job that may given you long term stability meaning a possible job for life without much in growth or promotion work here."

"Stagnate company no way to increase income even when I bring in new accounts my pay check stays the same looking to improve my situation and life."

"I would have a 5 year plan for the company. A vision on where I would like to see the company in 5 yrs, 10 yrs, 20 yrs, etc. Well trained employees (cross training). I would have well paid compensated forward thinking, proactive, organized employees."

"I couldn't find much I didn't like about working for Wal-Mart. They offered many wonderful benefits to their workers."

"The only suggestions I have, would be to share all you can with new workers. The more they know, the better and more work will be done."

"I think that it is a great place to work. I just feel my talents are not fully used and I need to be in a more productive environment."

"I think they are trying to cut corners to save money and it is hurting the quality of the equipment."

"I would suggest that cutting corners is not always the best working policy. You must find the balance of wasting money and the loss of production."

"What I didn't like about it was that we had to incoporate sales into our conversation which we were told we wouldn't have to do"

"I think that I would just say to limit the amount of products that we had to upsale."

"happy , enthusiastic management = happy employees. Encouragement not screaming is going to work"
What don't you like about working at JD Couriers?
"I dont like the imposition of time, I dont thinks the team functions as one, management is always upset as revenus ase not picking up but the issue is there is nothing productive done to increase the revenu. The disatisfaction of the management affects every thing in the office."

"more transparency, more marketing for more revenue, less stress better management in trrms of job allocation."
