"I worked with Cisco for almost 2 years and loved it. Great culture and a company that you can tell really cares about its employees - one of the best things I noticed from the recruiting side was we were able to make total compensation packages for new talent coming in that was very competitive in the Bay Are market. It gave us a great shot at bringing in the industries best."

"I have interned in Cisco from May 2013 to December 2013. I have a successful internship there, given the official recommendation letter from Cisco. I get along well with my co-workers and I still keep in touch with them now. They like me."

"I have been with Cisco since February 2014. I find it to be very good with work/life balance. However when it comes to control over getting things done, it's a bit too slow and heavily dependent on others. I would like to also see a possibility for me to move up and grow in the company at a faster pace."

"Cisco needs more focus on the customer experience and developing a consistent experience across all of its products and technologies. Cisco needs to place more emphasis on how it prioritizes its portfolio of products and services. A new refreshing CEO would also be nice!!"

"I worked here for 7 years. The 1st three were great. I was recognized for my efforts and moved up the ladder. Then there was a re-org and my new manager was horrible at recognizing efforts. There were no discussions, only orders. Eventually he was laid off but it was 3 years too late because 75% of our talent moved out because they could not work for him. I too was disillusioned and left for similar reasons."

"I was an IT Engineer Intern at Cisco Systems in San Jose, CA during the summer of 2012. The overall experience was positive. However, the section of Cisco IT that was assigned during my internship did not have much engineering related work for me to do at that time. But I would recommend this internship to those who have the opportunity."

"Cisco is an outstanding company with great benefits if you are an employee. If you are a contractor expect to get laid off in 3 years. I really enjoyed my time with the company and would gladly return as an employee. The consistent and purposeful contractor layoffs seem to be the unfortunate permanent trend."

"Cisco is a good company with lots of very talented people. Unfortunately the culture they are creating is not one that I believe is in the best interest of either the customer or its employees."
