"I worked for Cisco Systems as a Software Development Engineering Intern with the NOSTG team at Boxborough , MA. I found the company culture to be excellent and I also had the opportunity to learn a lot during the twelve weeks of my internship. I also had the excellent opportunity of getting to meet some of the stalwarts in the Networks industry and also got to interact with them on a one-on-one basis. Overall , the experience was better than I could have ever hoped for."

"I have absolutely nothing to write. I am trying to apply for a job. Refrain from making this part of the process to apply. It's really unfair"

"I worked as a product manager in the services organization for 10 years and appreciated how well-run this large company is. The working style is semi-formal, process-heavy, globally collaborative and the employees really care about the work. Management is of high quality. Total compensation is above average."

"A good place to work, if you don't mind annual layoffs (they call them LRs - Labor Reductions) They work can be extremely interesting, but they are having a tough time learning how to become a best in class enterprise software supplier. They will make it, but enterprise software is very different than embedded software."

"I worked for Cisco for about a year, and it was a great experience. Lots of smart developers who are willing to help each other out. We had daily meetings to keep up with the work and work through challenges. The culture is really relaxed (in a good way) and work-life balance is well structured."

"I worked for Cisco 4 years in Engineering Central Services before being impacted by a workforce reduction. I came back as a contractor in the same capacity. I enjoy the people, work, and challenges at Cisco. As we transition in our product offerings, the company continues to have layoffs a few times a year. That impacts morale in a negative way. The company is using more contractors while the permanent workforce reduces. I will continue working here as the ability to work remotely from home is very appealing."
