"I only worked at BCBS for about 6-8 months. In this time, I was required to lie to my callers, flat-out refuse to help them, and have them call back or give them another number to call for help. This was after they had spent weeks trying to get a hold of someone at times. Breaks were not allowed, oftentimes they would bring in lunch just to have you on the floor taking calls. I was let go because they needed to make an example out of someone, and I was the person they chose."
"Good company in a changing industry."
"I gained invaluable experience during my Business Analysis internship in winter 2011- 2012 at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island in Providence, RI as a business analyst associate where I attended to the ICD code transformation project."
"I worked here for a year as a contractor, and was treated as a third class citizen by the full time employees."
"Nice people to work with."
"It is a nice company to work with."
"A great place to work with wonderful benefits and a lovely cafeteria."
"Annual increases are minimal. Incentive bonus and 401k matching are very generous."
"It was a great job and everyone I came in contact with enjoyed the experience."
"I have worked for BCBSM since 2011."
"My review covers the building and not their insurance coverages. The building is fantastic with lots of great views to the surrounding areas. If you can make it to a level up high, there are lots of great photos one can snap from any of their windows. From the short time walking around in the building I started wondering about working in the building."
"One of the area's top employers. Great benefits. Good work life balance, as most jobs offer work from home options."
"Atrocious project management. Project parts were shuffled daily. I never knew one day to the next what I was working on, only to find someone else had been assigned my work, and I was given something from somewhere else. System permissions to get work done was a guessing game. US citizen co-workers who were full time employees were passed over for raises, training and growth opportunity, in favor of giving non-citizens being granted full time status."
"This was an internship for me during the summer of 2012 as a way to get real world experience. The atmosphere was open, and allowed me to expand and test my abilities to the limit. My supervisor was very proactive, and allowed me to ask questions and guided me."
