"I only worked at BCBS for about 6-8 months. In this time, I was required to lie to my callers, flat-out refuse to help them, and have them call back or give them another number to call for help. This was after they had spent weeks trying to get a hold of someone at times. Breaks were not allowed, oftentimes they would bring in lunch just to have you on the floor taking calls. I was let go because they needed to make an example out of someone, and I was the person they chose."

US citizen co-workers who were full time employees were passed over for raises, training and growth opportunity, in favor of giving non-citizens being granted full time status."

"I dislike the below-market value salary, the way they push people to perform miracles on a daily basis, the fact that getting test data is a huge thing which can and has taken up to a month, the lack of direction, and the leadership and accountability between teams and within team."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I suggest better planning for the design and scope approaches. Also, realize that consistently working 60-70 hour work weeks without overtime or comp time is not a great way to keep people happy, and that, if there is that much work, perhaps more people should be hired."

"I dislike that it is micromanaged, it's difficult to advance, there are poor raises, management can't be trusted, and credit for your work is taken by management."

"Allow people to advance; address personnel issues instead of allowing things to escalate to HR issues; quit playing favorites, no matter how bad the person is."

"Care about your employees, compensate them fairly, and at the least, give enough raise for cost of living increase."
