"Make sure the person you work for is someone who you respect, and conversely respects you, because if they don't you will have difficulty advancing. I was kept from opportunities, because my manager needed a certain number of direct reports to justify his position."

"The people that get promoted, aren't always the most deserving."

"Understand what resources you have available and utilize their full potential."

"Few promotional opportunities, no training and very little interaction with the main corporation"

"I have worked with Xerox Corp for 13 months and found my position to be somewhat stressful and hectic as deadlines were very tight and management did not appear to be directing the projects in a more streamlined manner."
"Dying company that has little value for its employees. Corporate bureaucracy is abundant and excels at stifling innovation. Executives are out of touch and fail to reward high performers. HR has been outsourced so your direct 2-3 levels of management have no say in your compensation. Tuition assistance is a plus."
"I've worked in this position for 2 years now and since then the only thing the company has done is increase its overseas employees and decrease American jobs. There have been no opportunities to advance and you can be certain not to accept anything that you do not get in writing or you will not have it at all."

"There are some very wonderful people that work here. Diverse opportunities within, but will need to network and know people to access them."

"I honestly cannot recommend working for Xerox. I have done everything ever asked of me, and have been ignored by the company. I have had 7 managers in under 5 years. Little stability, poor vision at the top."
What don't you like about working at Xerox?
"Pay is poor. Increases are infrequent. Company is happy to pile on responsibility, but will not compensate for a job well done."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Take care of your people. It's a tough economy, but if you burn out your people, there will be an exodus and the real trouble will begin."

"no growth opportunities, only hiring contractor with no option to be permanent."

"none... this is today's companies definitions. the manager probably does not have a much better experience."
"I've worked for Xerox for 15 years and the quality of the company has fallen year after year. Management is more focused on short term gains than investing in the employees. Lots of on-shore experience has been lost to the switch to cheap off-shore workers, quality has suffered."
"I've been working for Xerox for three years, through an acquisition. Although I like my job and my co-workers, the company does not seem to have much consideration for the morale and career opportunities of it's employees."
