"Keep one eye on the marketplace and then enjoy the experience of working for a premier airline."

What don't you like about working at United Airlines?

"A little too much of a bureaucratic environment - it took a long time to get things done and it seemed unnecessary for so many hands to be in every pie.I was also bummed about the effect on the fuel prices on our jobs. It seems that the workforce waxes and wanes along with fuel prices - I wish they would stabilize that."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Look for efficiencies and really push for them (regardless of hangups from unions)."

"Could be a great place to work with some changes. Have all your ducks in order and take charge during the interview process a little."

"All the different clicks. If you are not in with the old boys,you will be out the door soon."

"Some of the management needs more people skills so they would know how to drive the moral up instead of down."

"Don't do it! The flight benefits are hardly benefits with high load factors and what will be your very low seniority for boarding. You will not to be able to fly anywhere exciting."

"The hight quantity of people who lie to each so that they all think the company is moving in the right direction (I think the financials prove that to not be the case)"

"Stop lying to each other and fix the problems. If you are going to keep reducing staff you need to provide the technology to make the increased work loads possible."

"30-60-90. Observe for 30 days, question for thirty days, make suggestions while working with those that perform the function."
