"Though the defense industry has a reputation for being an easy, lavish job with high security, that hasn't been true for most engineers for several years."

"Rotating shifts are not great and turnover is very high."

"I would ensure that programs were not reducing benefits and salary bands when the company is experiencing record profits."

"The diversity of the job enable me to excel and to learn many new skills. It enabled me to see other very large companies infrastructures and how they managed their systems and the procedures they had in place."

"This is a great company to work for if you are the sales type then you are in for a great ride."

"Sometimes it seems that nothing could be accomplished without having a meeting to discuss some aspects of the sales division."

"The vibe is pretty good overall. Good facility and some good people here."

"Show up on time, look good, don't lie on your resume. New hires that can't actually do their job very well get canned quickly these days."

"No chance of ever advancing in the company unless you're a suit-wearing clone with a MBA in Business and Wall Street scruples. Too much responsibility for too little pay and the raises are offensively small."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"You guys should reward the people that actually make the company run. A 1% raise with a 1% bonus means nothing when you don't even make close to six figures. Add training to yearly department budgets."
