"The management was unbearable, they had no idea what we were doing and had unrealistic goals."

"Cerner is a technology company so I was able to see how a technology company is ran. They also have a nice gym and great community of employees."

"Just be yourself. Be honest in your responses to their questions."

"The amount of hours you have to work. They encourage 60+ hour work weeks with no incentive to do so. They are also trying to send most of the technical jobs to India."

"Allocate more funds to the actual solution and less to sales."

"Until the mess that is IT cleans up I would steer clear."

"There is no strong management, for IT, from the director level or above which causes the complaints to fall on deaf ears and mistakes to be repeated over and over."

"Start trusting in the work being performed by the people who report up to you. If you continue to undermine your staff by bringing in contractors and vendors to tell you exactly what your staff has been saying all along you will no have a knowledgable staff for very long."

"Integrity issues-- advertising work style one way, expecting something else. Have friends who work there who have had management be dishonest. Going public has had an impact on the company."

"The company as a whole has good ethics, especially my Senior Manager(Erik Paulsen), is an awesome person to work with. For anyone who loves to troubleshoot, I would say have/start a career as a systems engineer as it provides you a whole picture of how the system works. Then you can specialize in specific field of systems engineering."

"Scope of work. Like to be involved in Hardware roles. Like trouble shooting/designing electronic circuits."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"A plan on how an employee can reach to his aspirations. Like mentioning what he lacks for the role he seeks. Management should never hire a person, just because he/she did internship and they had to hire one of the interns. If the candidate is not promising then I feel, the management should let the position be vacant.Strictly no room for friendships and hiring past friends into group. Only if the candidate is deemed to be fit by fellow members of the group, should he/she be hired.Management should never promote a person in a group to the managerial level, just because the previous manager had left. He/She could be a lead until a new manager fills the position."
