"I love working with technology, telling people about the technology and fixing/repairing computers. I hate worrying about the other small things in the store such as office supplies."

"I love resolving customer issues and just fulfilling a customer's every expectation. I really love the feeling I receive behind receiving a customer's full gratification. The only part of job I disliked is having to rely on any managerial personnel who did not want to perform his or her duties correctly which in turn hurt company revenue, customer experience and office morale, therefore I intend to be a sales manager because I know how to perform the job correctly."

There is a lot of money spent on the training and teaching of each associate, however there is not a significant investment into the pay of each associate. There is a lot that goes into the training and knowledge behind a sales consultant that could be better compensated."

"I love the pay. The base pay is great. I love my coworkers and the ability we have to help each other out and communicate with each other. What I don't like, is that with our commission structure yet again changed, no one knows how to explain it correctly. Even the one person who seemed to have a good grip on it wasn't entirely right. We don't know how to drive our numbers if no one knows what boosts the numbers."

"I loved the job itself. I have a passion with talking to people everyday and fulfilling all the needs and requests! The cruise product was so much fun to sell and there was always new fun things to learn! New ships, ship tours! I will miss talking to people about their vacation, just wish the job paid better then minimum wage and management wasn't corrupt!"

CarMax's business model is designed to be transparent, simple, and honest with customers. However, I do not like that Sales Consultants do not get paid for appraisals that are attached to a purchase. It seems unfair that we do the work, and it IS only a 100% commission job."
