"I believe MS is a great place for improving and selling OS and office software year by year. It is extremely profitable business and employees get paid well. Company is huge and global because of the reason. It's just not a company for any innovation or invention. The org and people mindset is not set up that way. One Microsoft marketing pitch hasn't really worked at the employee level. Different departments are still pointing guns to each other."
"Good people, relaxed environment to grow and develop."
"I've worked in Microsoft as student partner from April and they give a tool for developer a good thing of Windows Phone and Windows 8."
"I worked here for 6 years now."
"Love this company. They work you VERY hard, but the rewards and the opportunities are enormous."
"I've worked for Microsoft. It's a decent place to work, especially in the earlier stages of your career."
"I worked for Microsoft for 8 years and only left to do my own start-up. I would recommend Microsoft any day. It is an excellent place to learn both management and technology."
"Good working experience."
"Microsoft is a great place to work, but the performance review system is a little wonky. I've seen multiple people with track records of excellent performance for 10+ years pushed out of the company after a single off year due to a run-in with an unfriendly supervisor. If you sense tension between yourself and your manager, start looking for a new role immediately."
"I've been working in this company for about one year and a half and I really enjoy it. People are treated equally and the people in general are very nice."
"I worked for Microsoft for over a year. The company took very good care of its employees as well as the training we were given was top notch. People I worked with were great, helpful and enjoyed working as a team. Management was helpful and wanted to make you successful at your job and also took interest in making you a career in the company."
"I worked on the sales operations team for the U.S. subsidiary of Microsoft for close to three years. It was an operations role where I worked closely with all major functions within the organization such as finance, licensing and pricing, sales, marketing, and legal by orchestrating and directing various activities across the organization. I gained valuable knowledge and experience in my role and made many positive contributions to the team, the organization, and the company."
"I've worked at Microsoft since 2000. When I came here, it was pretty much the only place to work at if you wanted to work on software that touched billions of people. It's still a fantastic company to work for, despite the hammering it has received (some of it well-justified) in recent years. The people, the atmosphere, the managerial culture, the breadth of technologies, the compensation, the opportunity for growth and new experiences -- they are all top-notch at MSFT."
"Working at Microsoft can be great, or terrible. I was working on a great team with wonderful people. We were given the tools we needed to succeed. I miss that job. I didn't miss the commute."
"Microsoft as a company has lost its way. If you're in a good group with a good manager who doesn't play games it's incredible. At the same time, the company has a propensity for penny wise, pound foolish decisions. There is a lack of transparency from on high and the senior leadership does not emulate the widely touted core values. More collaboration is coming but at the same time fiefdoms reign supreme."
