"I was a Sales Associate in the Men's Shoes and Suits Department for less than a year, but I learned so much about customer service as was implemented at Macy's. My fellow employees were helpful, and the environment allowed for personal innovation within a defined employment goal. My manager was always there as a support system, and provided constructive reviews to help me improve my abilities. This is a skill set that I will be able to carry with me into whatever profession I decide to pursue."

Senior Manager

"A little background about myself, I previously was the Senior Manager of CRM at Macy's; I had been with the company for 5+ years, but with SF HQ closing in March I decided to not relocate with the team in NYC. My team determined all segmentation strategies for Email, SMS, Push, Direct Mail and Site as well as the Experimentation within those channels. - I determined/evaluated customer cohorts to improve customer journeys and overall engagement/conversion - I excel at cross-functional project management. I prioritize, assign resources, manage risk, and provide continuous reporting for 65+ weekly marketing programs and interdependent projects while still leading my team - Engagement, ROI, CLV… I’m data-driven and a deeply analytical thinker. Not only am I skilled at building out high-impact customer level marketing campaigns, but also deliver complex multi-variate testing plans to improve ROI. I have a strong background in analytics that allows me to troubleshoot concerns as well as to partner effortlessly with data science, analytics, and operations teams - I’m an expert at understanding the end-to-end marketing experience. Starting my career in analytics allows me to understand what alignment is needed to deliver the business and operational goals seamlessly. This means I understand how CRM marketing fits into the larger marketing strategy, and how to ensure all channels work together for maximum results"

"A very poorly managed company from the top down. They refuse to increase staffing levels in the areas of the company dealing directly with customers, fail to correctly train new hires, and then lie to employees about store closures, and seem astonished that they can't keep good employees or keep shoppers loyal."

"Macy's is currently struggling as a retail company because of the COVID 19 issues but in comparison to its competition, they are going to survive. The work environment is somewhat difficult because of the antiquated equipment due to years of deficient capital injection into the infrastructure but has been identified with the new management and are working to rectify. The work-life balance in Macy’s is pretty good and as a company is mindful of their employee's home life."

"I've worked for Macy's technologies from the past 1 and a half yr. They allow a high level of security for all the applications. Use all the latest technologies on GCP. They had many google drive's when google implements any new services into the cloud. Macy's is one of the great retail which strictly follows GCP to make sure they use most of the services to make sure they have high-reliability Scalability and security."

"I have worked at Macy's since February. It was a very fun place to work with. It was also one of my favorite companies due to work culture there. My director and manager are the best duos who make people at ease when they join the company. My manager was already planning for my vacation days and how I should use it in the forthcoming years. I really enjoyed working with them He"

"Macy's was a great technology organization with great people to work with. Closed CA offices and moved all technology operations to Atlanta area. Lost a lot of great people who had passion for both the company and the work."

"Wonderful company. Excellent and experienced staff. However, due to issues relating to new purchasing trends in e-commerce; Macy's made the difficult decision to let me go. It was a wonderful experience working with some of the industry's best minds. I will miss the entire team. They were an awesome group of professionals."

"I will never work for this company ever again. They over work you, under pay, and under appreciate you. I worked here for over two years but I was in school. I had to re apply and train every time and I came back every two months. I would always do my job and other people’s jobs for my low salary. They always claimed that the job I applied for was no longer open so they hired me to do something else but then when I started that job I did that one and the job they claimed was no longer available for such a low wage. I wouldn’t recommend this job to anyone."

"Macy's used a lot of contractors instead of hiring from within so a lot of talented people left. It recently closed its SF office because it couldn't compete digitally. I wouldn't recommend working there because it's a sinking ship."
