"Encourage the staff, employees, customers to be more creative. Accept ideas more...Get the employees more involve. Offer them a chance to buy stock in Kroger. Or sell it for like $10 or more to get in. Open them an account. Maybe get them in account at Auburn Bank or whatever bank is in there store. Work on this law about gas there should be in Alabama,Georgia, Florida, KY where you can get 10% off your gas. Have them be able to use or get a discount at Fred Meyers ..... Especially do the holidays. Make it affordable for them to buy the Employees at all Kroger and Subsidaries."

"Get a management team that the people trust and respect"

"The company is a good soild company. Be open minded and be willing to work hard and long hours. Don't expect them to understand why you need off for any reason."

"Get to know your store managment team, like to old days. They are the ones who keep the stores going. Even if you don't know there names look at their name tags and pretend you do."

"The management is undertrained on how to talk to employees. I work there for 16 years and watch it get worse every year until I finaaly had to leave."

"Learn how to talk to and treat people. Your employees are what makes a store and a compant, not hte people to sit in the offices and act like they have a clue as to what is best for a store. Work in a store and see how it really is."

"Think about how you want to live your life, if you plan on weekends off and a family consider, trash collection before this."

"It is not a 8-5 M-F job. You will always be working when family is off, your kids have activities, or holidays (except Thanksgiving & Christmas). You work for a union that does not work for or with you except control industry wages, almost as bad as working for Walmart."

"Take care of your people, pay them a living wage or give benefits that encourages employees to be with their families when activities and togetherness is expected."
