"Kroger is a wonderful place to work! Employees are treated more like extended family, especially in the eCommerce department where I work. Respect & diversity are of key importance."

"I've been at Kroger for almost a year, and it's like most retail places. The job is stressful with very little rewards until you move up, however, if you work hard and do what needs to be done, they can at least recommend you based on your work ethic. It's a decent catapult to another job, but not much else."

"I have worked at Kroger since 2008 and have worked in various positions. While they were flexible for when I went to college, everything else was weird. The managers ranged from good to horrible depending on who was in charge. The pay is not good and the co workers are okay for the most part but get crazy over the little things. As a job for college it was good, if I wasn't in college I would not want to work here."

"My experience with Kroger, namely the Fuel Department, is limited to just under a year. One cannot be paid nearly enough to perform what they insist upon. You will be required to work over 35 hours a week, 8 hour shifts without breaks, and bear with a constant torrent of hateful customers."

"I spent 4 years at KB and there is a lack of communication between management and supervision. Management communicates exclusively by e-mail and does not want to hear any dissenting opinions."

"I've worked for Kroger for 5 1/2 years. The job has given me a lot of life experiences and many positive relationships in all walks of life. I am grateful to have worked for this company."

"I've worked for Kroger for 2.5 years with excellent annual reviews that boil down to nothing. The employees are expected to go above and beyond for the customers, yet we are paid poorly."

"I've worked with Kroger for 5 years. What I have learned is that the leaders decided for you where they want you to be, whether you want to do that job or not. They have unrealistic goals that have been set and use the threat tactic to get results as opposed to really attempting to assist stores in achieving the goals that are set."

"Been there for 2 years. The managers treat employees like dirt, when you bring up your pay they all like to say you deserve more but we are stuck at this minimum wage. They then proceed to treat you like garbage. Cut your hours, give you a 5 cent raise after a year. They also only give you 2 sick days a year which is more like one sick day a year, because they only pay you for half of the day which is 4 hours. 2 week vacation at 5 years. Yes, you do the math, find something better."

"I had enjoyed all of the above while I was still employed with this employer, while it is not a perfect company, it is surely a good company to work for and will recommend any one to the company any day."

"Kroger used to be a great place to work. It is now very stressful. We are asked to do more and more with less. Those that sit behind a desk at corporate level have no clue what it is to run these stores. People dont matter anymore... only numbers."
