"A very strong company where the employee comes first."
"I have worked for the company for the last 9 years, and the portion of the company that I work for has changed drastically. For the last 3 years we have constantly been going through reorganization after reorganization with no clear goal or destination. That said, other sections of the organization may have it better."
"I've worked as an intern at Johnson Controls, Inc. for nearly 2 years now and I can't thank them enough for the experience that I've gained working with them. The internship position is highly recommended!"

"JCI has one of the friendliest environments, a lot of great people... and a tedious process that ensures effort is freely wasted. Innovation is not particularly encouraged and the company is not focused in bringing the best ideas to fruition.Management isn't involved in floor operations, they don't know and aren't interested in knowing who does what - you are a spreadsheet entry."

What don't you like about working at Johnson Controls?
"I dislike the weak, highly subjective HR processes that allow cronyism and internal politics to flourish and influence employee-related decisions. There is high pressure to conform to the hierarchical structure and old boys network. There's an unprofessional environment where you need to focus more on making sure you are in the good books of the senior management, rather than focus on performing well in your job. Structured career development or career paths are non-existent."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Change the company culture to promote recognition of high performance, fairness, and equitable treatment of all employees. Create an inclusive culture, and demolish the old boys network."
