What do you like about working at University of Cincinnati?
"I learned a lot how to handle people with problems, as during my ECSS work I use to handle lot of technical calls related to computer hardware."

"The only thing I can say is the person working here would really love the place. It's a great place to do work."
What don't you like about working at University of Cincinnati?
"It's a part time student job. As international we were only supposed to work not more than 20 hours as students."

"To keep on doing the great work and if students can get some more benefits."

"I don't have tips for other people. But try to sell yourself on a few points."

"There are not enough hours, so it's not possible to make enough money."

"I have no suggestions for management. I think they're doing the best they can."

"In each case there was a respect for the need balance work and life so that a lifestyle that maximized the productivity and quality of my work was achieved even under less than ideal circumstances."

"Be yourself, and present yourself in the most professional light without compromising the uniqueness of yourself."
What don't you like about working at University of Virginia?
"Most of the time departmental politics was only simpleminded backbiting. Also, during this time I began to reconsider my interest in academic life, so obviously I was drifting away from the experience."

"Not everyone who goes to graduate school goes there because he or she primarily wants to teach."
What do you like about working at Northeastern Illinois University?
"For the most part, I am my own boss. I create curriculum, choose texts, and am responsible for managing my classes as I see fit. I am a leader."

"Job security and health insurance, but in order to make a living wage, you will need to work two jobs."

"There is absolutely no hope for advancement at all. The pay is awful."

"Be prepared to have a back up plan for employment once an assignment comes to an end."

"There was times when no one would respond to your email. After an assignment was over there was no communication as to if they will reassign you."

"Simon Fraser is a fine place to work, just don't work as an adjunct for any length of time if you can manage it."

"Too little guidance, no job security, no benefits, too little structure"

"Not rely so much on adjuncts, provide more training and support to teachers"

"I like the opportunity to teach classes in my own way with curriculum available to lead me to what has to be taught."

"Unless you are hired in full time there is no guarantee how many classes you get every quarter so it makes it hard to live off of just this job."

"There is no room for advancement and the total number of classes adjunct instructors can get per quarter is 5."

"Listen more to the students and what they need and what they are looking for in a school that they are paying $50,000 for."

"Friendly staff, great motivated students, freedom to teach without micromanaging."

"positive attitude, motivated, and desire to see your students grow academically!"

"Lack of additional teaching opportunities and the supervisors are rarely on site if you have questions or concerns for a student."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Be available more. When a problem arises with a student or class(leaving class early a lot),please intervene. Help us know how to direct additional teaching towards the TABE."

"I enjoy the atmosphere of working with students in the sciences. Mathematics, physics and software development is my passion and I enjoy it when I can share my knowledge with students who truly want to learn."

"If you love teaching and working with people eager to learn, you are in the right place."
What don't you like about working at Phoenix College?
"Due to the fact that I do not have a PhD, there are limitations to the number and level of the classes I can tutor/teach."

"Management is impeccable. There are no suggestions I can make to make it better."
