"Be honest, show your creative side- and show your passion. Acknowledge to yourself that you will need to continue learning even after you become an instructor, even after you get tenure. it will show to your peers and students- the best professors I _ever_ had were from Harper College!!!"

"general lack of spirit of the students- harper college is a great place to grow as an adult!"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"continue to allow the professors and instructors a fairly free hand- but keep pushing them to continue their own learning! harper is one of the best technical colleges, it should stay that way!"

"Do not value people as much as money. Sadly foolish."

"We get back what we contribute; life is cyclical. Nothing works on a one-way street."

"It's fulfilling seeing some (not all) students who are willing to learn and advance their careers."

"Smile and agree as much as you can with the interviewing manager."

"Being a for-profit education institution, things are getting worse. Pay hasn't increased in three years and they're always asking for more."

"Stop being vindictive and do not micromanage. Trust people more and allow more promotional opportunities internally. Be grateful and appreciative to your employees - not just"
