"I enjoy working part-time at Home Depot. I enjoy the work and the people I work alongside. Home Depot treats their employees well and trains them constantly. Never a boring moment there. Always in motion doing something and helping a customer. I work in Garden and enjoy gardening as a hobby, so have a lot of fun at work. I have learned a lot about the retail industry and customer service."

What do you like about working at Home Depot?

"I like going on appointments and helping the homeowner. I like finding a way to accomplish the needs of the homeowner. I like working in the store and with the associates to make your job more satisfying."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Consider this position temporary until you find a real JOB."

What don't you like about working at Home Depot?

"I dislike trusting the order written is what the homeowner will have installed, trusting the $ commission earned will result in $ commissions paid, and sales managers degrading your sales efforts and injecting what they would have done (what a joke)."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get rid of sales managers between the branch manager and the sales consultant. Or, put experienced people in the position who have respect for the system and the people who are working for them."
