"I have been with GEICO since August of 2019. There exists plenty of room for growth and provides excellent training for company success. Benefits are great."
"Geico was my first job taking calls, talking to people, all while typing and looking up information. I already had my real estate license, so I knew I could ace the insurance test for property as well. The benefits and perks Geico offers are truly amazing, best in the Fredericksburg area. The training was good, but you truly learn the most from being on the phone and listening to your co workers and sitting with seasoned associates. The friendships I made were important and made me feel like I had a second family at Geico, especially since I spent so much time at work. I liked the fact that a wide variety of shifts were offered, so basically I could make sure work fit around my home life. I got all of my kids jobs there as well, they obviously had to perform, but all of them actually were a benefit and as asset to Geico. I worked at Geico for 17 years, and got along with everyone. I only had 2 supervisors that didn’t like me. Towards the end of my tenure at Geico there was a woman that truly had me crying every day in the stairwell and on my breaks. She called me worthless and actually told me she didn’t want losers on her team, everyone heard her abusing me mentally and it started to take a toll on me. I finally went to HR and told them about the abuse and the hostile work environment she created for me. She would rather anger a customer by getting him transferred in the speed of light so her stats looked good, but when I kept getting angry customers on my line, I felt maybe spending an extra 2 minutes to get them properly taken care of was in Geico’s best interest...to keep a customer and have good service, but she didn’t understand common sense and only looked at stats on paper. She would literally scream across the section if she didn’t like the smell of the hand sanitizer I was using. I retired, but overall, outside of the horror of a human she was, I loved my Geico family and miss them terribly. You get out what you put in."
