"Worked with this company for a year. Nice company with good work culture. Great manufacturing experience working in this facility, learnt powertrain equipment and process from this facility. It's a nice place to work in with great hard working people. Worked with advanced manufacturing engineering for correct implementations of specifications."

"Work is great, pay is mediocre, workload is ridiculous."

What do you like about working at Chrysler?

"The products and opportunities at this company are very interesting and exciting. The people are all very dedicated and supportive to each other. The fringe benefits are quite nice and the company car lease program is outstanding."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Ask about the hours of work and the unpaid overtime. If you've been contacted for an interview, chances are good that if you can back up your resume with real experience in the interview, you'll be a good fit. They tend to be looking for specific attributes, and they probably saw something they wanted in your resume. Listen carefully to the interview questions - they will tell you what they want to hear. Be honest and talk about your experience."

What don't you like about working at Chrysler?

"The pay is quite low, and cost of living adjustments just don't happen. Management would rather push the people they have beyond the breaking limit than to spend a little extra and hire more people to carry out their grand visions."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Pay your existing people a little more, offer annual increases, hire more people. Otherwise, you risk losing the people you have and valuable knowledge with them."

"The jobs are hard and they wear you out. I like to work but this place is hard on your body."

"Don't do it, stay far away from this company, all they will do is bring you down."

What don't you like about working at Chrysler?

What do you like about working at Chrysler?

"Some of my coworkers and the ability to work with cars/take cars home."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Do you value your independence and the ability to use your brain to do anything other than be a robot? If so, RUN!"

What don't you like about working at Chrysler?

"Old school bureaucratic enterprise that needs to adapt to 2012 or they will slowly die as the old guard dies off and the younger generations refuse to spend a career in this environment."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The entire organization is very hierarchical and opaque. It needs to be much more transparent and flat. People are afraid to speak up, afraid to try hard, afraid to go out of their way to affect change. It is a culture built of robots to the person who is in charge of them, a culture in which forward thinkers can be frustrated to the point of seeking employment elsewhere in order to have opportunity in a culture that is more willing to adapt and advance. If I was in charge I would focus much more on making sure that employees are truly happy, engaged, motivated, and therefore are not looking elsewhere for jobs and feel like they truly are a part of the company."

Mechanic

What do you like about working at Chrysler?

"Outside the office the technicians were great. We went through in a very short year, 5 service managers, 8 service writers, and countless technicians. We had an owner who was never around and filing bankruptcy. The conditions were ok."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I have learned over the years, that owners, managers, and supervisors who are generally interested in hiring an individual, make themselves and the company to be the best around. I have recently been listening to what they have to say, then walking out to the shop and talking to those I would be working side by side with. After doing so I have either walked away, or taken the job mostly based on what they say rather than the managers. My advice would b to ask around. Not be fooled by dollar signs or fast business talk. The ones who really know how things are are the people working in the trenches."

What don't you like about working at Chrysler?

"The shop was a flat rate paying shop. I took the job because I am a very hard working person and saw the opportunity to make some good money. The work just wasn't there and the shop and dealership had, and still has, a bad reputation around town."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The company has switched owners several times. And nothing has changed. The problem is internal. The same management has worked there for many many years. And to solve the problem, the bad attitudes, judgement, and horrible people need to be let go, and start over."
