Accounting Intern

"I worked as an intern in the finance department for Chrysler this past summer. It was a very rewarding experience. I learned how large corporations such as Chrysler operate and I was also given the opportunity to work on important projects which I believe could really help the company down the road. My skills in excel were tested and I believe that will help me in the future as more and more companies are requiring extensive excel knowledge."

"Work is great, pay is mediocre, workload is ridiculous."

What do you like about working at Chrysler?

"The products and opportunities at this company are very interesting and exciting. The people are all very dedicated and supportive to each other. The fringe benefits are quite nice and the company car lease program is outstanding."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Ask about the hours of work and the unpaid overtime. If you've been contacted for an interview, chances are good that if you can back up your resume with real experience in the interview, you'll be a good fit. They tend to be looking for specific attributes, and they probably saw something they wanted in your resume. Listen carefully to the interview questions - they will tell you what they want to hear. Be honest and talk about your experience."

What don't you like about working at Chrysler?

"The pay is quite low, and cost of living adjustments just don't happen. Management would rather push the people they have beyond the breaking limit than to spend a little extra and hire more people to carry out their grand visions."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Pay your existing people a little more, offer annual increases, hire more people. Otherwise, you risk losing the people you have and valuable knowledge with them."

Network Security Engineer

"Wonderful people, great technology, but dragged down in politics."

What do you like about working at Chrysler?

"I loved working with the people there. It was easy to befriend and count on others. Middle management was easy to work with and shielded us from the higher ups, allowing us to concentrate on the technology."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The company is run by 3 family members that look for someone that respects family."

What don't you like about working at Chrysler?

"I do not have any specific complaints about working at the company."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"If I were in management, I would move the IT group from the corner where there are no windows, to a more comfortable place, since they keep the whole company running."

Engineer

What do you like about working at Chrysler?

"Great facility with lots of resources at your fingertips, whether they be software or test equipment."

What don't you like about working at Chrysler?

"Unnecessarily way too political. Every meeting I feel like I'm at some Obama convention listening to someone's election speech. It's worse than any other company I've worked with."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Reduce your headcount. No need for the number of PCs, middle-level managers, etc. Too many chiefs (and also too many Indians (from India)). Seriously, there are too many wanna-be's and managers that go around asking for updates all day because they don't have any true skill themselves."
