"The technology built provides such great benefit to customers. The complex organization is challenging and provides room for growth. Working in a global team is fun."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Siemens is a learning organization and a giant company, any opportunity within most industries is at your finger tips. Connect with someone inside the organization to see if the culture of a large company fits your working style."
What don't you like about working at Siemens?
"The organization is giant, there are many hurdles faced to achieve small goals. Every person and goal gets lost in a process. It's often difficult to get decisions made. Heavy reliance on headquarters makes it challenging for in country organization ."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Poor alignment between managers and poor direction. Company is successful in industry and CEO does a good job. Room for improvement."

"Insufficient requirements in the projects lead to added time in the design and implementation."

What do you like about working at AmSurg?
"Growing organization with mature senior management that understands the necessary changes necessary for company culture to keep pace with technological advancements and organizational growth. New annual review process is step in the right direction, as is new HRIS system. Annual bonus and employee referral plans are generous, and company is looking at reworking 401(k) plan. New health program rewards employees for being active and healthy. Plenty of challenges (fires) to keep one busy! Company is extremely involved in the community through food drives, fundraisers, political advocacy, habitat for humanity, etc."

"Study the business model and job responsibilities, and know how you can contribute to the company."
What don't you like about working at AmSurg?
"Disparate clinical/billing/scheduling systems result in a nightmare from a financial and quality reporting standpoint. Company has outgrown it's current lease and is now split into three different buildings in the Nashville area (but is planning to consolidate with a move in 2014). Internal communication has improved recently, but can still cause issues. Top talent is not always retained due to a reluctance to promote from within."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I'd like to see an annual retreat or convention to connect regional offices and traveling employees, as well as break down departmental silos."

"My experience at State Farm was enjoyable and enhanced my knowledge and skill set."
What do you like about working at State Farm Insurance?
"I liked having the opportunity to learn and grow on the job at State Farm. The ability to learn and implement new technologies as a part of my work while creating meaningful documents and training content that enabled the smooth function of the very large, corporate IT division was enjoyable work. However, I desire relocation to the Nashville area to be closer to my father, who recently suffered a stroke."

"It is important to be knowledgeable in your field, friendly, personable, professional, articulate, and a fast, critical thinker in order to successfully interview with and gain employment at State Farm. Sharpening interview skills via careful preparation of documents and responses to detailed questions regarding qualifying skill sets is a great idea!"
What don't you like about working at State Farm Insurance?
"Vertical communication within State Farm is slow and overly congested. While this can be typical for large organizations (State Farm's corporate headquarters hosts more than 17,000 employees), the result is that simple requests and communiques can become lost or receive painfully slow responses that negatively impact work flow. This was my least favorite part about working at State Farm."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"State Farm management should simplify and ease internal, vertical communication by creating a strong, lateral communication structure that includes checks and balances that can enable workers to gain approvals and/or access as needed, without waiting for responses from far-removed colleagues who are higher up the command chain."

"What I liked most about working at FDM Group was the opportunity to learn new technologies."

"If you are planning on interviewing with the FDM Group, please be specific about your past experiences in IT. Also, be able to outline why you want to work for the company and what you are looking to gain from the company."

"There is nothing specifically that I didn't like about working at FDM Group."

"The main thing I like about working at the company is work culture and facilities."

"What I don't like about working at the company is no opportunities to grow career."

"One suggestions for management is to treat all employees in similar manner."

"Only to try to give their employees more time at home with their families."

"Be yourself. Don't try so hard to sell yourself. If they believe it's meant to be, it will happen."

"Unfortunately the position is temporary. Other than that I have nothing bad to say about them."

"They currently hold 5% of the market in their industry. They have the potential to double this over the next couple years. I would recommend not to pull the rope too tight and let the expansion happen."

"It is a fun job if you enjoy a challenge but they will take you for everything you have."

"The disorganization and failure to cooperate with the IT department."

"The gap between the IT department and the business needs to closed."

"Being able to learn a lot of new things on the job quickly. Working with senior individuals who were very knowledgeable in the industry, and having an opinion that was seriously considered by managers at the client."

"Accenture interviews are case based. Be able to walk through your thinking when working through the case and remember to apply frameworks (Porter's 5 forces, 4 P's, SWOT, etc.)."
What don't you like about working at Accenture?
"At least for my project, there was constantly an escalation of commitment to the project. I felt that I was in an environment where I was not able to ever say no to a request which led from a 50 hour work week to one approaching 95 at the end of my internship."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would put more focus on matching interns with the appropriate project and supervisors."
