"I feel like the company has its big wigs if you will that make all of the decisions. The little people have no say in what goes on within the company."

"I think that everyone should have an equal say in ideas and solutions for the company itself."

"Learn how to write clean valid semantic code. Stay current with HTML 5, CSS 3, Mobile and Responsive Design techniques."

"I work with a tight knit team and management does a fantastic job of listening to our recommendations and utilizing our individual skills."

"Pretty easy I guess, not a lot of effort involved in doing well."

"You're probably going to be stuck in your position until someone dies or you make love to the district manager."

"No matter how good you sell something, you're never doing things correctly and there is always something you could have done better or sold extra"

"Not much you can do differently considering its retail and there is no where to go after a point."

"Not much, very boring and repetitive work and customers who feel like they own the place don't help"

"One customer can ruin your day, you do jobs that other people charge a good amount of money for, for free with little more than a thank you and the sweat on your face"

"there isn't much really, I wasn't positive the when I was told to be. Its to much BS for what I get paid for and what I have to deal with. Putting customers first makes them feel empowered, like they know what they can do to get their way and most of the time they do. How is that supposed to make someone feel when its your job they control"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Involve the end level employees have them feel more connected with the growth in the company. Many of us at the store level feel that all the executives and high level management run things for their portfolios and bonuses."

"try to learn basic knowledge of cars before the interview."

"no rewards for selling more. not much room for growth."

"more incentives to sell more products. There was not enough direction."

"There are real opportunities for helping people if youre willing do do so. You meet hundreds of people on a daily basis. Not everyone in this country is totally spoiled and you can meet a really nice person from time to time. Plus, they still do 401K matching."

"If you despered for a couple of bucks and you've got nowhere else to go then OK, go part time. but dont even think of a career over here. Its a nightmare."

What don't you like about working at AutoZone?

"Lies, double stantards, cynicism and arbitrary rules at all levels in retail part part of the business. They dont care about their employees, they dont care about their customers, they dont care about their business itself. The only point of concearn is numbers that being reported to the higher management. They do their best to exterminate persalities in their employees, to create a faceless and careless robots with fake smiles."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop pretending. Fake enthusiasm doesnt work. Stop exploitation. It doesnt help. Take care of your employees and you will earn more. Respect your people."

"The polices and procedures are just but sometimes they can be extreme."

"The location, it was hidden in a plaza, and people never knew we were there. They would go to Advance Auto Parts up the road."

"I think there should be a Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager at each store."

"The only recommendation I could give for interviewing for this company is to sell your self like every other company."

"I didn't like the company from the standpoint of on my days off that I would always get a call to come in because someone didn't show or anything and I always did come in to help out."

"The only thing I could say to management is to hire more reliable people so that people could actually have days off."

"The lack of financial independence that AutoZone had, despite its success."

"Spend more time to hire better talents. Under the gun, managers tend to hire their employees to fill a void. Unexperienced managers tend to hire people who are like them, which often create friction, lack of creativity and initiatives."

"lack of people taking charge, not a lot of people wishing to step up and take charge and run the store. just a lot of fussing."

"take charge and make people that are hateful, rude, and disrespectful either learn to be respectful or fire them."
