"there isn't much really, I wasn't positive the when I was told to be. Its to much BS for what I get paid for and what I have to deal with. Putting customers first makes them feel empowered, like they know what they can do to get their way and most of the time they do. How is that supposed to make someone feel when its your job they control"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Involve the end level employees have them feel more connected with the growth in the company. Many of us at the store level feel that all the executives and high level management run things for their portfolios and bonuses."

"The worst job I've had in years."

What do you like about working at AutoZone?

"There are real opportunities for helping people if youre willing do do so. You meet hundreds of people on a daily basis. Not everyone in this country is totally spoiled and you can meet a really nice person from time to time. Plus, they still do 401K matching."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you despered for a couple of bucks and you've got nowhere else to go then OK, go part time. but dont even think of a career over here. Its a nightmare."

What don't you like about working at AutoZone?

"Lies, double stantards, cynicism and arbitrary rules at all levels in retail part part of the business. They dont care about their employees, they dont care about their customers, they dont care about their business itself. The only point of concearn is numbers that being reported to the higher management. They do their best to exterminate persalities in their employees, to create a faceless and careless robots with fake smiles."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop pretending. Fake enthusiasm doesnt work. Stop exploitation. It doesnt help. Take care of your employees and you will earn more. Respect your people."
