Customer Service Representative

"I started working at AutoZone as a part-time parts delivery driver/customer sales representative in late 2019. I was looking for an upgrade from my previous employer due to insufficient hours. I saw AutoZone as a perfect opportunity to expand my knowledge in automotive vehicles. Since starting at this company, I certainly got what I wanted and learned a great deal about cars and their numerous components. I knew little to nothing about cars starting out. The management their is very friendly, helpful, and make sure safety is ensured. The hours are plentiful and the pay is enough for the duties performed."

"Have been there 12 years and as the minimum wage keeps rising, the rest of us get screwed. Some guy with 1 year in just transferred and makes $5 an hour more than I do."

"As a red shirt this company is fine. Move into management and they give you the shaft. They do not compensate existing wages when mandatory wages are increased (in other words everyone who has been working there takes a pay cut) They demand, demand, demand so they can get bonuses that no one actually earning the money ever sees and, quite frankly, I encountered less stress when I worked in a jail turning keys to cells of those who were out to injure me. I would never recommend this as a permanent employer. Typical corporate slave drivers."

Part Sales Manager

"I've been with Autozone for 3 years now. I would think when I got promoted my pay increase got me to 11 per hour, and there's people I work with getting more than me that aren't managers and haven't been with Autozone as long as me. I like Autozone a lot but I feel like discrimination is still very bad in the corporate world. The big bosses don't care about our pay but want us small guys to sell the hell out their products so they can get bonuses. I don't get a bonus so I'm always looking for a better job but it's hard being a black man, no lie."

"I've worked in Autozone distribution since 2004. I believe on three things to be successful as a company: safety, accuracy and productions. Autozone have 8 distribution across the nation with over 5000 stores and 500 hourly employees in Ontario California distribution."

"Autozone is an excellent place to start as a job, pay is usually above minimum wage and can be an enjoyable experience. I do not recommend working there for more than two years as a red shirt. If you haven't become a grey shirt in less then a year and half, you should plan on searching for a new job."

"Did not like the false promises and micromanaging. District Manager cannot make his own executive decisions. He often contradicts himself. Did not give me a chance to run my own store. I have 5 years experience running a retail parts store and kept me jumping from one department to another. Very low pay. Biggest career mistake of my life. Waste of time."
