"There is not enough staffing to take care of customers, Executive management has NO IDEA what running a store is like."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Restore the old Lowe's. Increase staffing, decrease busy work, and focus on sales and customers."

What do you like about working at Walmart?
"Each store was a family of its own and everyone cared about everyone else. Hands down, I worked with some truly incredible people."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Each question needs a beginning, a middle and an end."
What don't you like about working at Walmart?
"Very little home-work balance. There was simply too much work to be done during the days I worked, so it was necessary to work over and come in on days off in order to accomplish everything that was expected to be done."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Set more realistic goals for middle management. With payroll constraints as they are, it is impossible to do everything 3 twelve hour days a week."

"The hours were great, and the work was pretty easy."

"Well the most important thing is being yourself, make sure you let them know that the customer always comes first, no matter what."
What don't you like about working at Casual Male XL?
"The way the company was handled by the corporate office was quite weird and had to get use to."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I have no suggestions for management other than they need to convey with their employees their strengths and weaknesses and help their become more well rounded employees."

"Every day was different. I liked the entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to think outside the box to drive sales."

"This company has plateaued, and there are not many opportunities for career advancement. The management is very poorly trained."
What don't you like about working at Home Depot?
"It can be very cut-throat and sexist, with favoritism over real hard-working talent."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Care and listen to the employees. Get out from the office and earn your money."
What do you like about working at Verizon Wireless?
"I like meeting new people, selling, meeting challenges daily, and the constant influx of new technology."

"Don't even think about getting a well paid management position unless you are capable of miracles, because a miracle is what this company needs to meet its goals."
What don't you like about working at Verizon Wireless?
"The company no longer treats employees like a valuable resource. We are an expendable commodity that they terrorize and dispense of like toilet paper."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would make working for the company a satisfactory experience for everyone, not just the people at the top. I would make sure that everyone is compensated well for what they do, and not take away the things that make employees happy. I would stop running the company from a standpoint that makes the employees hate the customers and vice versa. I would remove our relationship with Apple and make sure that products we carry are not something that bankrupts our business."

"Employees and store management are very good. They take care of the job with very little support from district management staff."

"Stay away from it until they become a more professional and better organized company, at least in the state of Florida."
What don't you like about working at Save-A-Lot?
"Too much drama with district management! No matter how hard you work, upper management has its peons that will always get promoted and receive better salaries than the people who are not connected."

"Open your eyes. See what is going on. Some of your managers are doing things that are against company policies and border on illegal."

"I liked having the ability to help many customers with technological problems and needs."

"Be ready to concentrate on mostly cell phone sales and accessories."

"There was not enough of the proper products in store to make the most of sales potential."

"I believe they need to stop worrying about company metrics, and take care of the customers and bring them back to the stores."

"The company was cureently downsizing and the Nautica Kids division was discontinued."

"I have none for my manager at this company. He was a great mentor."

"I like getting paid, although I'm not sure its enough."

"Make sure you are prepared mentally for all the stress."

"The environment is very depressing, and it seems like no one wants to be there."

"I would listen to my people more, and make more clear expectations as well."

"The employees, the discount, having the easy ability of knowing what new games are coming out when."

"Knowledge in games is somewhat important, but the ability to upsell and deal with customers is paramount."
What don't you like about working at Game Stop?
"Unrealistic expectations as far as reserves and subscriptions. Move from physical to mostly digital on PC content. Lack of follow-through from upper management (DM etc) on many things. Quite a bit of micromanagement."

"Nothing, really. I find that the way my immediate manager does things is efficient, for the most part."
