"I enjoyed the people I worked with and the ability to advance quickly that the company provided."

"When interviewing for this position the ability to follow directions and to communicate with customers are paramount. Focus should be on finding appropriate customer solutions."
What don't you like about working at Game Stop?
"The business goals involved trading and pre-ordering products but offered little to no incentive to the employees or management team. The location where I worked in particular saw much more traffic but much less sales due to the nature of the mall location compared to stand alone locations."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"There should be a greater incentive for performance and a greater amount of regular scheduling. The total store hours were often very restrictive and should be expanded for better store maintenance."
What do you like about working at Kohl's?
"It's a strong, reliable company, if you are up for a challenge."

"If you are up for the challenge and have a strong customer service background, you will do well."

"The scheduling is up and down, making work-life balance tough."

"Nothing, as this is the expectation in today's retail environment to be competitive."

"We are owned by an investment company. They don't care about our potential they are more interested in the bottom line. I have limited resources when it comes to inventory levels."

"Great company to grow with and lots of room for advancement. Great company to gain experience with."

"Office Depot is great company to get started with and has many opportunities for employee growth."
What don't you like about working at Office Depot?
"No defined vision, deception towards customers and employees. Diminishing benefits and very poor starting pay. Poor product quality and employees are overburdened with tasks. Few resources to correctly assist customers and inconsistent policies . Nearly impossible to complete goals for bonus."

"Better wages for new hires to attract talent, better quality products, more staff, more defined vision, consistent policies, better observation and accountability of senior management, better focus on the customer experience and less on pushing unneeded items."

"I enjoyed the flexible schedule of an online store, the freedom to be creative and try new things, the work environment was encouraging and fun, and the information I learned about online retail I've found to be of use in my every day life."

"Have an open mind. Don't be afraid to be critical and/or creative."
What don't you like about working at Quilter's Paradise?
"I did not like when the owner decided to close the store down. That process was draining."

"Try different forms of marketing or advertising. Keep pushing forward, trying to create products that our consumer base enjoys and would like to purchase."

"A roller coaster but for the most part enjoyable."
What do you like about working at Game Stop?
"I liked the atmosphere and being able to help everyone that walked through the door. When people told me that they were going to start coming to my store over someone else's because of the way they felt important or listened to made the job worth going to. I got to know quite a few of the customers on a personal level which was nice."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Just be confident and don't be scared to speak your mind. More people get hired there for being out going and not shy."
What don't you like about working at Game Stop?
"I didn't like how the company trained employees half the time new employees didn't learn the bare unessential of the paper work side of the company."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would suggest that they set some time aside to explain to new employees the importance of various procedures. I would also suggest they train everyone slightly more then they have to so the people below understand what the people above them are doing."
What do you like about working at Sheetz?
"Most customers. I like working with customers. It can be fun."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"If you are lazy backstabbler - please apply, you'll fit in!! If you are an honest, great person who likes to work with the public and with a great team - please stay away!"
What don't you like about working at Sheetz?
"Where do I start. Assistant and shift managers are required to work three shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) all in one week. District manager doesn't think we need to sleep and we must take medicine to fall asleep and to wake up. It's inhumane. Discrimination is an everyday thing. Good people are being abused and bad, lazy backstabbers and suckups are being promoted and praised. Customer service suffers because of it. Kitchens are dirty, I personally won't eat any food made there (after all, I've seen how it is make). Just stay away from there. Employees are afraid to voice their opinions due to retaliation. Managers retaliate if you honestly answer the questions about them on the surveys. The most disorganized, backstabbing place I've ever worked at. Most people work there want to get out."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would pay attention to the employees and get rid of all backstabbing and negativity in the store. Create environment where employees want to come to work. The company has potential but they are growing too fast and forget those who make the company a success."
