"Management was inconsistent in direction. They would apply policy at their convenience. They would not work as a team oriented group."

What do you like about working at Jiffy Lube?
"I enjoy interacting with people. I like being outside, in the sun, the cold, it does not matter. I also like team work, working together with critical thinking and problem solving."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Prepare to work hard with little reward, you may only get one day off out of the week. Great first time job, go presentable with tie, dress up shirt and slacks. Speak with confidence."
What don't you like about working at Jiffy Lube?
"It is unrewarding, and the opportunity is very limited. All I want to do is grow and it is not possible not even if you are shining like a superstar."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I have many. I would first start with more competitive prices, the competitors always beat our prices that is why it is currently so slow. Pay raises for the employees, although a sacrifice they would get more effort."

"I am not working in a field that I am happy in. I prefer working as a draftsperson over anything else I have ever done, it is what I am cut out for."

"Currently, my suggestions to my manager are based on company policies, to follow through with each policy thourghly and to keep organization within the store, front and back alike."

"Selection of merchandise was good. Things ran smooth, but sales were slow."

"As a part time sales associate hours are flexable enough to still go to school."

"No receiving the right merchandise for the ads. Markdowns were not quick enough to try and sell through slow items."

"Take your makdowns quicker. It may lead to low margens but you will sell through slow moving items"

"No. If you want a part time job as a sales associate fine. But not as a manager."

"Management was not professional. Training was not done by people who know how to train."

"Management training should be done better. Training materials are out of date and there is no accountability."

"Good place to work overall. It was a fast paced environment which provided great job satisfaction at the end of the day."

"The inexperienced Japanese coordinator with poor motivational techniques. Everything else was great."

"I love that we are all partners. We are all treated equally and recognized as such. There are also plenty of opportunities to grow and expand within the company."

"I would tell them that they need to want the job, not just for money reasons, but because they want to be there. It is important to have passion while doing this job because it requires a high level. Also that it is a lot harder than it looks. There is a lot to learn and plenty of resources to assure complete knowledge, but definitely a high pressure position."

"The early mornings are one of the only complaints, but people love coffee and I love helping them get it."

"I really have no large suggestions at all. I believe that my manager is great at what they do."

"I got to advance from sales to management due to my hardworking ability."

"Be prepared to work weird hours, have many kids throwing accessories around, and dealing with upset customers."

"The hours. They were very inconsistant. Would close then open. Weird hours!"

"This is a good retail store to work for. The tasks are often physically tiring, and the thanks are seldom, and far between."

"The hours are very irregular, and the position requires most if not all weekends. It is very rare to find managers that will take an interest in allowing individuals to assume responsibilities that will expand skills and lead to promotions."

"There is a lot that upper management can do to better train people for advancement in the company."
