"I like the fact that the company allowed me to stay at a management level seasonally while I went to school. The company always extended hours to me for years when I came home for a reprieve."

"Be yourself, smile, be professional, look your interviewer in the eye, and answers the questions how a retailer would answer the questions. It all comes down to putting other;s needs before yours."

"Not having enough resources to meet the customer flow and needs."

"To restructure the shifts so the night shift is fully staffed to have the store ready 100% so during the day the fewer associates can concentrate on customer service not projects."

"The people I work with, the environment of an upscale theatre, and lets not forget, the free movies."

"It is a fun job and the perks are good. Its a great job to fund your college education."
What don't you like about working at Cinemark Theatres?
"The lack of employee appreciation. I feel they could do a lot more being the leading company in the industry. Also, having a region leader who doesn't like my boss puts a strain of the work environment. He comes in looking for faults instead of what good is being done."

"Be able to take unexpected blows and not to let anger from personal issues be taken out on the employees."

"Management is required to work an entire year over nite."

"Sr. managemtent should re-consider reducing the over nite shift to six months."

"Straight commission base. Long hours , low pay and trying to please unhappy people."

"Well it is how the enviroment is sturctured across the board that is why I wanted a change."

"This is a great company to work for if you enjoy great customers and a steep learning curb."

"We are not the cheapest but parts is not our main selling point, we sell excellent customer service and knowledge."

"Keep up the good work!! Buddy has been the best manager I have worked for pushing me and challenging me."

"Work at Walgreens for a year or two then leave. Not many opportunities for growth."
What do you like about working at Walgreens?
"For an entry level retail management position, the pay was decent. (Starting was $17.50 an hour in CA). Some managers work for you in your own best interest. They will look to develop your talents and look to get your promoted."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Very standard interview with the usual questions. You do have to take a basic math test on a computer, but that's the only difference."
What don't you like about working at Walgreens?
"Experience varies on who your store manager is. If you don't end up with the type of manager, I described in the what do you like best section, you will end up with slave drivers who simply force you to do grunt work such as stocking, receiving trucks, and maintaining the stockroom. District Manager and Store Manager do not hold any regards about your work/life balance. Expect to work most (if not all weekends), holidays (Walgreens is open 365 days a year), and shifts all over the place (especially if you work at a 24 Hour Store). Even if you are a student, always remember that Walgreens schedules for business and to business needs. Company is also going through a field transformation with very unstable timelines. Seems very unclear about the direction that they want to go in, and have eliminated many MGT positions and replaced them with lower paying ones. A company that fails to disclose information that will effect your future should raise a red flag."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Show that you care about your employees. Employees work hard when their work is being recognized. And no... fake money labeled as customer service dollars to turn in for prizes isn't being recognized. It's childish."

"Stay focus and be true to yourself. and don't allow people to tell you what you cannot do."

"Be able to show how good of a worker you are and let your boos see that you are capable of getting the job done."

"There is no Corporate Environment and no room for technical work."

"The restaurant is open until 3:30 am daily, so the hours can be grueling. It is also a very high stress environment."

"Always be organized and prepared for anything to happen. Learn more constructive ways to reward/reprimand with employees."
