"I was laid off twice, so I guess working in an industry with ups and downs as the economy evolves is difficult."

"Long-range planning should include contingencies for economy bumps and for as little as possible turnover and layoffs to maintain staff and team continuity."

"I enjoyed calling on various specialty doctors including dermatologists, colon rectal surgeons, OBGYN's and gastroentonologists."

"Be prepared to work far more than the 25 hours you sign up for."

"They really want you to work full time for a part time salary."

"Get a plan and try to stick with it for at least 1 quarter."
What do you like about working at American Trucking Associations?
"ATA was a family owned growing business. I enjoyed the fact that you knew and had at least some contact with all upper management and felt comfortable talking to them."

"ATA was a good company to work for until the economy started to have it's problems. They have a small company mindset with big company aspirations. I was a victim of the economy and had this downturn not happened to the extent it has I would've been there for as long as they would've had me. If they are hiring it will be for an area where you will have job security because they have already made their cuts."
What don't you like about working at American Trucking Associations?
"ATA expected a lot from their employees and needed some work with positive reinforcement. My area was growing and the economy was crashing. Those two facts caused a lot more pressure to get the job done while the financial rewards were minimal."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I believe that while they provided some good benefits the daily rewards became fewer and less frequent. Bonus money became harder to earn, salary increases seem to have been disappearing and the work load continued to get harder to complete."

"HB Fuller was a great company to work for when at its peak, but after spending a large part of my career with them felt as though it was time to move on and expand and use my talents."
What do you like about working at H.B. Fuller?
"They were the leader in their industry and I was able to manage my own Territory with support in the earlier days during my employment with them. I was my own manager and worked from my home which gave me independence and freedom and consequently my passion and love for being in front of the customer excelled."

"They should be organized and passionate about what they are selling."
What don't you like about working at H.B. Fuller?
"I feel that they changed the compensation package too often which limited my earning capabilities."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"That management should at one point be at least exposed to what it takes to sell their products as opposed to knowing NOTHING about it."

"Great people. Neat technology."

"Good technology but weak on regulatory follow through. Make sure they have clear long term strategy."
What don't you like about working at Immucor?
"Couldn't pay salaries on time consistently. Changed comp plan after quarter was completed so they wouldn't have to pay out as much as they promised. Some management infighting. Over promised to customers and failed to deliver FDA clearances for products."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Be committed to the comp plan."
