"Just fine for a beginner-student or a person pursuing a Scientific Degree. Not so well for auxiliary staff."

"Given the nature of IT, you must perfectly understand English, but since this is a Hispanic company, your Spanish has to be top notch."

"The IT department was considered to be useless by the head honchos, so there never was an opportunity to grow."

"IT is the backbone of any company. You must invest in it continuously as the company grows. It's not just a one time buy."

"This is one of the best technology placement companies I have worked for thus far."

"You need to be creative and able to accept there is not enough work to get you through the day"

"You only need one staff member. There is not enough work for more."

"I had high hopes when I first started, but they have been replaced with boredom."
What do you like about working at Norma Michigan?
"The work environement is very relaxed and laid back. The dress is casual as is the attitudes and demeanors of the other workers. Everyone gets along with eachother and is friendly."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Make sure everything is in writing. Three of us have been brought on their word that we would eventually be hired. None of us have yet to be hired."
What don't you like about working at Norma Michigan?
"Since the company was purchased by a German company there have been drastic changes in how things are done. All control has been taken away from local managers and is now managed from Germany by people that rarely even see whats going on here. We are expected to do more with less."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Give me the tools and permissions necessary to do my job. When it takes three weeks to get someone access to a folder because I have to ask the helpdesk in Germany to do it, it makes us look ignorant and unresponsive. I have actually argued for this repeatedly."

"Casual, somewhat flexible, low stress, average benefits, nice people, decent office"

"Only accept the position if you're sure you want the job. Carefully evaluate the questions you are asked and ask direct questions to your interviewers about the culture. You can glean could information in this way."
What don't you like about working at esri?
"Rigid, old-fashioned, did not accurately represent company culture in the interview process or on their website."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Make employee satisfaction an initiative. Require managers to seek feedback."

"I have worked my way up to number 2 in the company and have only one boss who is the owner."

"I enjoy the team environemnt and everyone pitches in the accomplish any task. Teamwork truly is embedded here."

"They want team players here and no one is bound by thier duties, all pitch in and play a role."

"The IT department has taken a hit with high turnover and has become unstable. There is a high demand for support from IT and the department has been reduced to one employee."

"Refocuse the IT department and the role it plays in the company, if outsourcing makes sense then have a detailed plan for their expectations."

"The company was quite removed from the contract and therefore removed from the people, it made me feel like we did count for any thing."
