"None, we all function on the same level. We throw this out there, or leave this, etc."

"Have new challenges all the time, like complicated interconnection between buildings, new security risk, upgrading hardware, and things like that"

"It is a place to find good people, but not for grow professionally."

"This company have this old model of working, strict schedule, you know. As system administrator is like 24/7 work, when something happen on Sunday, need to be repaired. They dont care about that, the expect that you be 9am to 6pm. Everything out of this schedule they don't care if you work or not."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I think the key is be connected with the employees, reward the good work, constantly generate challenges and have some after work connection, you know, some sports, grab a beer. Get interested in the person beyond the work."

"I liked the job as systems administrator and the travel opportunities of the Navy."

"Read every line of the Military contract. If something is missing make sure they add it in."

"The overall operational tempo and the frequency of deployments."

"Have faith in the people that work for them to get the job done."

"No training was available and company felt that they did not need to spend money on infrustructure"

"Be prepared for a roller coaster ride if you do get hired. There's no telling what you'll be doing or where your stress level will be from one day tot he next. Or from one hour to the next."

"Too many different frameworks that the technology is built around; very little discipline, virtually no accountability, and very scarce support from upper management."

"Get a handle on the developers; learn to say no to the customer sometimes; and find some accountability."

"Know that you are there only for the money and personal relationships don't happen. There is no one to take care of you there, only you to take care of yourself. The company will not take care of you."

"Lack of structure, not orintation as to what was expected on the job."

"Better orintation, and better supervision. take care of personell by giving them an orintation as to what is expected from them and what the peopel are responsible for."

"The requirement to be on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week."

"I enjoyed the people I worked with. It was a friendly and fun atmosphere and I actually enjoyed going into work each morning. I felt the leadership team was great as well."

What don't you like about working at Pacific Life Insurance?
"One of the reasons I am leaving is that I felt I was not challenged enough at the job. As a fresh face in the working world, the company offers a great opportunity for a good entry level position; however, after being there for so many years, I felt I was not able to reach my full potential because of the lack of challenge and there was no room for advancement in the company."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The decisions they have to make are sometimes difficult. Traditionally, IT helps very much, focusing on their product, service, company and internal customers' circumstances, challenges, goals. I suggest management focus on these elements."
What do you like about working at United States Air Force?
"The military has been eye-opening and created opportunities that I would have never thought possible. What did I like? The chance to experience life from a challenging perspective and to achieve results in a challenging environment."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Not much I can say with interviewing with the military besides visit a recruiter. You will have to be prepared for a drastic change compared to what civilian life is and be ready to make the change back. More or less, just the decision will allow to you to do great things within the military."
What don't you like about working at United States Air Force?
"I can't really think of something that I specifically did not like. There were very stressful events, such as deployments and short notice missions, but those are things that gave the most experience. However, there is a need to have a break and to enjoy those that you love."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The military system is very rigid, but produces results. The Air Force specifically has adopted policies that allow for change to our always evolving society. This in the past would have been a negative point because of the lack of change, but today they have gone to great strides to change and thus has an adaptable force."
What do you like about working at Marshfield Clinic?
"I like working on new and old systems. They understand that people have lives outside of work. There are a lot of IT personal, so it's a supportive environment."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"If you want to work for Marshfield Clinic, you need to make sure that you want to live in Marshfield. Marshfield is a smaller and somewhat boring town."
What don't you like about working at Marshfield Clinic?
"Since it's a bigger IT department, once you are in a department if you want to work with a different system, you'll have to switch departments. Like as System Administrators, we work with basic OS and VMware, but if I wanted to work with SQL or networks, I would have to switch to a different department."

"I can't think of too many suggestions for management, other than they should invest more into training."

"I feel as if the company has lost its drive, reviews were put on hold without any knowledge and the move from one state to another"

"You will be expected to do more with less every day. Being budget minded doesn't hurt your chances."

"the camaraderie of the core permanent IT staff made every day fun."

"Staffing half of your IT department with temps is a waste of money. Your core team spends half their time training people who will be gone as soon as they are trained."

"Be prepared for the interview and speak about your past experiences with examples, and explain how efficient and reliable you are with recommendations from your advisors/previous employers."

"There is nothing that I could see which I don't like."

"No suggestions for my manager. He is a very good manager."
