"State Farm offered me my first internship experience ever, so I can say that State Farm is amazing in its efforts at handing out opportunities. My time there was encouraging and my project managers were not only helpful, but pushed me to go beyond what I knew. The engineering department at State Farm is extensive but still it is an insurance company and for engineers and developers, there isn't a strong development and creative culture that exists."

What don't you like about working at State Farm Insurance?

"There were a lot of system incompatibility problems that should have been handled quickly but were handled poorly, time after time. Being a tech, I could not use my own knowledge to fix problems I knew I could fix, because we had to go by outdated scripts and procedures that where slow to get changed."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Listen to your employees, and pass the information along to the analyst."
