What don't you like about working at Starbucks?

"However, as the CEO changed, so did the ethics, standards and vision slide. Most were at best trained minimally at each level and the bottom line was all about money. Competition to be the best at outdoing Dunkin Donuts, McDonald's and others eventually ruled on way too many corners. By the time the corporation decided to get down to the basics again, all the tweaks of attempting to compete with others (closing locations, removing ovens, and cutting back offerings) became useless. The idea of being thought of as a chain is exactly what Starbucks wanted to avoid. Greed for the dollar was overwhelming."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Set realistic goals with each employee on paper every 6 months and don't miss the date no matter the cost to you. Find something good to say to your employees about their contributions each day no matter how small this may seem. Seek to teach a new skill each week and regularly maintain standards!!!!"
