"I've worked for Starbucks for 8 years in technology. As Starbucks is a retailer and not a tech company, some things are more challenging. Starbucks has a reputation for being overly collaborative and meeting heavy which I agree with. Those who are incredibly technical savvy may not have an easy time progressing as the stronger desire is on soft skills."

"It depends on team to team as well department department. I have worked in PRO and PRO ( partner resources ) and it has been a wonderful experience. Overall good enough experience that I do not want to leave. Certain departments push personal and career development. This has finally become a focus to get employees leveled up. EHD is the worst due to the cliques as well as certain departments in Starbucks."

"Worked for the company for a long time. Dishonest leadership. Poor work/life balance. Unrealistic expectations. Perfection expected at all times. Poor tools and programs to implement the company’s “perfect” expectation."

"I've worked for Starbucks for just under nine years. It is a company which strives hard to provide customer satisfaction, but cuts corners in terms of back of house technology. The company values sales and managers, but needs a great deal of investment in the HR infrastructure and support side."
