"Staples provided a good environment to grow as a young professional, and gave me the tools needed to really develop my current skillset and grow new talents. Management had a strong focus on their current employees, but would often times favor other employees based on geographical location. Overall, a good workplace, great co-workers, and good compensation. Major con would be one of my direct supervisors being a bit more of a party goer than I was, which would cause issues when I didn't want to go out to bars after a long work-day (this was frowned upon in the high-pressure sales environment)."

"I worked there for a few months, learned all I could. The supervisor I had and I had different work styles and he didn't care for our differences. I liked going to people's houses and business for repairs, help my growth with tech and service."

"Initially I had not wanted to work at Staples. I kind of got talked into it by my career advisor. He fed me the biggest load of garbage so I figured why not. The managers are horrible. You couldn't pay my time an a half every shift to stay there and be treated like garbage. The managers are present when the customers insult the associates but will not stand behind the employees. Not to mention my GM likes to talk about confidential information throughout the store. REAL PROFESSIONAL!!!"

"I have only worked for this company for around 3 weeks, and while the work gets done, it isn't made Easy. I am by no means attacking this company or knocking it down, but there could be some major improvements made. There is no breakfix equipment to troubleshoot customers' computers. The software used is trivial and limited. They have also made it where you can send a customer's computer/laptop to a depo company and have them do your job. I love my co-workers and supervisors, they are amazing,"

"I worked for Staples for a little less than a year. The location I worked with had frequent customers, plenty of whom called me even after I stopped working. The workplace environment was good but there was much room for improvement. There were not enough educated employees in my department and the easy tech bench was not easy to maintain. Organization lacking among the staff, and upper management didn't listen to my request to help me get all the associates on the same page."

"I recently completed my 6th year working for Staples. When I was hired, Staples stock was around $24 a share. It is now around $15, and has been as low as $9. The company has gone through numerous changes due to stockholder demands, and most have been for the worse. I used to enjoy my job, but now I do not. We are expected to run a store with perfect customer service scores on less than minimal staffing hours. Middle-management is nearly endless, and everyone has unrealistic expectations."

"I worked for STS for 7 years. In that time I learned a tremendous amount about corporate sales inclusive of strategic selling, consultative sales approach, and value added strategies. However there were significant challenges in being a tech division for an office products company in that many of the strategic initiatives held by C and director level IT management was not supported from a product and service perspective in many of those need areas."
