Working at Sears in Miami, FL: 10 Employee Reviews

Sears Employee

"The analysis of the employees' performance is schematic, so it is not fair at all. The indirect supervisors do not consider what they should to evaluate the performance of their employees.Although from a customer's point of view, is a great place to go shopping, given the quality of its offers, at not-so-high prices."

"Not good. The training period is not respected, nor is your work."

What do you like about working at Sears?

"The training is thorough. After three months you should have complete knowledge of how to perform your job."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be ready to work like a dog. The hours are tough and the travel wears on you."

What don't you like about working at Sears?

"Sears only believes in results. You put in a rigorous three-month training that includes self-study and buddy/peer training. The training period is not respected, however. You are still held accountable for things you may not have even been trained on yet. Management is constantly over your shoulder and in some cases, watching over you with hidden cameras. You put in a 48+ hour work week which can easily turn into 65 without notice. Extensive travel within the tri-county area is required."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Respect the training period and work/life balance of all employees."
