"Nice location. Nice campus. Pay is decent because they can't get anyone to work there for long."

"Don't. Not worth the risk to your licence. Not safe."
What don't you like about working at Cedar Hills Hospital?
"Most of the reviews here are very true. Management staff are grossly incompetent, disorganized, unprofessional, and inconsistent. Management staff gossips with and about employees on a regular basis. Dangerously high nurse to patient ratios and horrific short staffing. Very high employee turnover. Lack of supplies and equipment to safely do the job. No benefits. RNs are hired on a PRN basis and are worked full time so they do not have to pay benefits and PTO. Extremely hostile working environment, unethical practices, and employees work in fear. Patients are sedated until their insurance runs out. Security cameras that were installed to monitor the patients for safety are being used to watch the employees for any perceived transgressions.Because most experienced nurses avoid this hospital (related to its poor reputation) and experienced nurses are leavingthis hospital is very new grad heavy. Which means these new grads remaining are not getting adequate training and not much if any preceptor-ship in order to develop their skills, such as prioritization, critical thinking, and time management skills. As a result, because of the lack of applicants, they do pay fairly well. The CEO was just fired and walked off the property. Not worth putting your license on the line."

"Replace all management with actual trained professionals. Hold management responsible for their actions."

"Totally enjoyed my coworkers. We were all in the same boat."

"Don't be middle aged or have any health issues. You will soon find yourself under the bus."

"Think twice before working there talk to some of the nurses. And remember to be very careful they really have poor security .allied barton is a joke."

"The place is dirty the supervisors don,t care about the patients"

"Please take sometime to talk with the nurses that do the job .the superivisors so called directors are not honest. And please bring back the professional tan uniformed security officers that were once there .allied barton is a joke in those dirty whit shirts."

"Flying in helicopters and airplanes and taking care of sick and injured patients"

"Run the other way and don't look back. Air Methods is not a great place to work. Turnover is very high. Very, very high!"

"An inept management team. Corruption, greed and intimidation runs rampant at AMC."

"You have got to clean our the good old boy club at the top and all the uneducated, under qualified managers below you. If you would pay true market rates, you would attract better talent."

"Salary is highly competitive. Good nurse to patient ratio. Physicians readily available."

"Lots of formalities and red tape. Be ready for many hoops to jump through."
What don't you like about working at UTMB?
"It's not the company, it's the profession and the system that governs it. So many new doctors, interns and residents don't know what they are doing."

"Let nurses have a siesta during work hours, give better benefits, employee lounges need improving."

"I like the nurses I work with. Close to home."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I have never spoken to a nurse in any department that is happy working here. It is the only game in town so we are stuck. Benefits cut. Hard to get PTO time but if you leave you only get 75% of the amount you accrued. Systems are set up so you attack each other to protect yourself."
What don't you like about working at Lee Memorial Health System?
"Managemet abusive and out of touch. Surgical services run like a meat factory. Not much time given to patient's readiness for surgery."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Back off. Work wil get done safely without you standing over us. Tell us occasionally what we do right. Role your sleeves up and help if you want it faster."

"great place to learn and see new things. Love the kids."

"I wouldn't work there if you are an older employee or have a disability."

"Not a good place for those with disability, cut throat, HR is of no help."

"clean up their act and quit playing politics. Treat people with disability with respect. Boast of treating kids with disabilities right, why not employees"

"Just don't do it. Go somewhere else. Try another Houston-area hospital or company."

"micromanaged, not a good company for a new nurse to start a career, lots of gossiping, high manager/supervisor turnover."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC experience as a graduate RN- incomparable and absolutely awful. I had 4 new direct managers and 2 new unit/general managers in the short time I worked there plus two different educational coordinators. Poorly organized orientation for new RNs starting off cycle (not in Jan or June). Management in the training department for nurses should FOLLOW THROUGH on what they say they will do."

"They will promise you everything you ask for and then some and will be nice to you until they have hired you and then they turn. They also require you to work overtime and not get paid for it."
