"independence, assisting people in crisis, getting praise from clients and family members."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Realize that working for them was a mission to help dying people. You were doing maybe the most difficult job both emotionally and phisically but you were made to feel you were never doing enough. There was a culture of blame and shame."

What don't you like about working at UHS-Pruitt?

"management held unreaslistic expectations of what a staff member could accomplish in seven and a half hours a day. No time for lunch. Phone calls while driving. Unbalanced case loads."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Not have unrealistic expectations of employees. Acknowledge and address obvious areas of employee dissatisfication."

"Good location. Decent amount of vacation time (if they let you take it). Decent wage."

"Don't do it if you want to keep your licence. The hospital is poorly managed, unethical practices, broken promises, unfairness, deceit, and hostile working enviornment.. The employee turnover is sky high for a reason."

What don't you like about working at Cedar Hills Hospital?

"Poor working conditions, poor benefits, poorly managed, very little communication, EXTREMELY hostile work enviornment, no safety for the staffs' licence's, and very shady dealings behind closed doors. The sceduling is horrible at best. Staff is expected to manage too many patients and are asked to engage in unethical practices. The politics are underhanded. The culture of the hospital is unprofessional, which is strangely tolerated and somewhat encouraged. Snake pit work enviornment."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Focus more on patient care (less on making money) and make the enviornment more professional. Stop the lateral violence, abuse, and harrassment. Become more ethical. Get a new scheduling staff member and replace HR."

"There was not sense of respect between the doctors and nurses, the doctors talked really bad to the nurses and about the patients when they were under sedation"

"To provide a communication class for the physicians and an ethics class in addition"

"change in management of surgery department with people who don't know what they are doing and change in morale of my co-workiers"

"your surgery department is a mess and lots of good workers are no longer there. no job security and management firing people without warning"

"I have to be on call in the middle of the night then come in the next morning to take care of patients on little or no sleep."

"I would make the employees feel more valued and show them appreciation in a tangible way. Now we get stupid plastic trickets or cookies. How about a bonus once in a while We are professionals. I doubt lawyers or scientists get a cookie for their great work."

"Needs and concerns brought up by staff to administration get swept under the rug and are not addressed. The mileu is lacking camrardere and it is a hostile and punitive working enviornment"

"I would value my staff, I would be more present and see what the daily needs and constraints were from my staff. I would also be more approachable and open to change and implement those ideas."
