What do you like about working at Microsoft?
"I am assigned to the team by Chinasoft. All the people that I worked with are nice."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"It's pretty much the same as Microsoft would interview their own employees. Microsoft has high expectations."
What don't you like about working at Microsoft?
"As a vendor, we are second class citizens compared to FTEs. For the most part I am fine with that, except when it comes to office space. Vendors sometimes don't have any place to sit."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"As vendors, we are getting less pay, and work harder than FTEs. The China vendor team is not as capable as Microsoft FTEs, so please lower expectations to the offshore team. As a team leader, sometimes I found its difficult to manage expectations."

"Very supportive, nice place to work with. People are nice."

"They are vendor company, so they are very likely to ask Microsoft FTE to provide interview."
What don't you like about working at ChinaSoft?
"The company is a vendor company, the paid is not good enough."

"I would like the management show the career options, I could not see that in Chinasoft."

"Simply put, I feel underutilized at the moment. I love to be over tasked and very busy. I need more to do."

"Remember your focus and core business. Expand in areas that make sense and realize people are not numbers. People generate numbers."

"The customers are very good to work with for the most part."

"Be sure you understand the job function for which you are being interviewed. Job functions change often after the interview process."

"I was asked to move and at the time I couldn't. I didn't have an option to stay."

"Maybe give someone a chance to make a situation work before you make a decision."

"I like everything: the work, people, environment, the perks, gobs of support, and the fun that everyone was willing to pitch in on - just plain old work hard and have fun... good stuff."

"Take your time to answer. The interview will go on forever and they are looking for smart people, so take your time."

"I don't like the miscommunication. I was hired and laid off the same day. I was told that the headcount was too low after I was interviewed and didn't get the job. Bummer."

"Run away - there is major reorganization and management change going on."

"Unorganized, too big, cold, hard to have an impact, unappreciated, just a number, hard to make friends, demanding with no reward, no raises, no incentives."

"stop reorganizing for a minute, retain experienced talent, promote from within the company, focus on key businesses and move people there."

"Salary is not compensurate with responsibility. Consultants have a high degree of responsiblity and should be compensated accordingly."

"My only complaint is my commute. Also, I have worked for the company for 15 years, Although I have worked in different roles within the company, I am ready for a change."
