"They provide multiple options for new business owners"
"Very good Work environment overall."
"I had a wonderful experience working for PayPal. The ownership and accountability plus the visibility of my projects was amazing."
"Stats are more important than the customer. Stats are more important than BSA/AML Compliance regulations (agents are expected to work cases quickly and, if a case is taking too long, agents are told to "cut it off" instead of completing a thorough investigation). Stats are more important then the employee (i.e., even if the city is shut down due to a major snow day, employees are expected to be at work and may even be "written up" if they do not show up that day due to the weather). Stats remain the same over the course of years even if the tasks change and become much more complicated. Even if an entire segment of a department is struggling with stats, management will not reconsider numbers or take into account the type of work that is being done. Instead, they will have meetings where employees are told that management "may have to fire the majority of the department" if the stats aren't met. Tenured phone agents are held to stats of people in different (easier) segments to "challenge" them, then when they are unable to meet those stats, they are denied a bonus because they "didn't meet the requirements of their peers"."
"The company is an amazing company. Unfortunately too many layers of leadership tend to bog down innovation. David Marcus was an amazing leader who was pushing us in the right direction. Our new leader seems to be working to streamline the organization."
"I have worked for this company for last 4 months. Work environment is really good. I recommend the employer."
"PayPal is the faster, safer way to send money, make an online payment, receive money or set up a merchant account."
"Amazing place to work to improve yourself personally and professionally."
"Awesome work environment."
"I worked for PayPal for just over a year. They seemed to really value employees as people and encouraged work-life balance. I felt they could have done more for employee growth."
"Been working at PayPal since 2009 as an engineer on multiple projects. Overall the company has a terrific product but lacks on the execution end. We need to get out of reactive mode (hello ApplPay) and get back into the proactive mode."
"I've been working with PayPal for the last 9 months and, it is a strong company with good values, Paypal is the leader in the online payment transaction and always is looking to implement new technology and bring an excellent and reliable service to every client."
"I feel that the company is moving in the wrong direction. The effort is not made to release simple and user friendly easy to use applications. It's getting complex with every release. Management really need to change their focus and adapt to current market trends."
"Worked at PayPal since 2010 and have been able to advance my career as much as I expected/hoped to. Good company."
"The corporation itself and the people are terrific. Within the first few months of working at PayPal, I was able to attend an Innovation Summit where we were all invited to hear lectures from product designers from Lytro, Apple, and airbnb to name a few. They treat us extremely well and I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in such an ethical and progressive environment."
