"The work environment was very open and casual. No micromanaging, as long as you got your work done."

"Go in with an open mind, but realize that you may be typecast in your role. Those that make it up the ladder network like mad."

"I wanted more opportunities for career development and that was not available, despite early promises."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Promote those who are capable. Promote based on merit, not necessarily seniority. Some managers in my dept did not belong in mgmt."

"Exciting work. An open work environment. Meeting space workers from other countries."

"This company seems to be very open to listening to potential employees."

"Shuttle Program shut down causing 5000 to be out of work."

"Listen to your people and value their opinions. Some of them have many years experience."

"Not much room for advancement.Need to be willing to work."

"I never received an evaluation for the job I did.Coporate operations directors only offered criticism for the operations people.There was not any sharing of information from the front office to the operations to indicate how we were doing."

"Need to be more involved with operationsShare informationNeed to follow company policies as far as evaluations were concerned. Do evaluations instead of ignoring them."

"Money is good after you work there for a while. Company does not believe in letting people go unless absolutely necessary."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"If you are looking for a place to grow go somewhere else. If you are looking for a place to come in and do a job and basically retire there with a decent to good paying job then just make sure you are a social yes man"
What don't you like about working at Bloomberg?
"The opertunity to grow and be promoted are limited and since most people are kept you tend to work with a lot of non qualified people."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Get managers that are better educated especial those who know more about project management and work place relationships."
